I'm so glad that the glimmer of hope shown when TDA LE was introduced has blossomed into more non-blizz maps on ladder! Here's to a long time of it continuing! + Show Spoiler [Space Shark] + I know I'm going to sound like a major killjoy and all, and I know the space shark is really integral to the "spirit" of the ESV maps and team, but I actually 100% fully support their removal from the playing field. I've seen on the ESV weekly before that the spaceshark can be flying over a battlefield and could get in the way of micro by making it more difficult for a player to see and select his units. I just tested this on the original version of Cloud Kingdom, and it does block vision of units underneath. This always seemed negative to me; that a non-essential part of the map could change gameplay. I'd personally prefer that the spaceshark remains in all ESV maps, but becomes a sort of "where's wally" thing where he's hidden on the texture of some structure on the map. That would make it a bit of fun, keeps the tradition of the space shark, and doesn't interfere with gameplay in any way. But at the end of the day, it's not a huge matter. | ||
