I've recently switched over from Zerg to Terran, and I'm not quite sure how many barracks I should be on when I've got a certain amount of bases
e.g. How many barracks is optimal on 2 bases?
Any help will be appreciated

Any help will be appreciated Generally for bio centric play, I would say 5 barracks at maximal 2 base saturation. But it depends on how many factories and starport you have and what addons you want. On 1 base, I would say definitely 3 at most. But then again you can support pure marine production off of 6-7 naked raxes :D

Thats my standard set up anyway When asking a question like this, you could simply go open a player whos style you play, for instance in TvP, thorzain is quite well known for double ups, so then check when/how many barracks he places on two bases. You can get much more information this way quickly, and the vods should be up on his stream. If you want to find his stream, google "Thorzain stream" and you will find it.

-If you're getting lots of bio (for a timing push usually), then 5 (with addons) - I think you can get ghosts up pretty fast with this many as well (for 2 base ghost timing) -If you're going allin, 6-8 (with addons..)

based on what you said, tvp, you could do 1rax->cc->+2rax->fac+reactor+port+ebay->+2rax (5 rax, reactored port, unused fac)->cc if you want double ups then it delays your 2nd cc or you can just go 5 rax heavy with constant medivac/viking production for a push

I like to go with 4 raxx vs protoss. 3 tech 1 reactor with starport reactor and double ups. It allows me to have extra money for bunkers, expanding, or switching my tech quickly If he goes from colossus to HT or what have you. And With constant SCV production and keeping up with your tech and upgrades I don't see you needing more than 4 on 2 base with constant unit production. When dealing with zerg and terran it is 100% based on what they are doing and what you are going for. TvT right now is completely anything goes. You can do honestly whatever you want and it will work if you know how to use it. I personally think Bio is a very hit or miss style because some maps have bases spread thin while others are all quite close making mech a very good choice. Not to mention whatever I play I lose to the other so there isn't really much help there. Against zerg it is 100% your opening and constant production. The way zerg works is they multiply so if you are a tiny bit behind, the longer the game goes on you get 10x more behind than you will with protoss or terran usually. Sticking to good builds and figuring how to trim the fat when you play is far more important than asking people for a flat how many raxx should I use against X. Play the game and find out.

Terran on ladder right now feels like their extinct. Really helpful tips on the TvT part, I suck at tvt, but after seeing your post that you could go anything, I might go battlecruiser next game just for the lols. PS; terran is amazingly fun to play, TvZ is just so fun (TvP makes me mad even when I win cause I felt it was too close compared to that "& ¤#/¤&/().

Some Terrans like myself go to two Factories if we have two mining base (or going to) setup if you're going tank-marine production. But if you're going mech you should build more.
