Fyi, content less, irrelevant posts are frowned upon in TL. Too many can be cause for action by the mod staff.
Can we stay on topic, please? Conference calls are there to discuss financial data and possible announcements, not people's personal opinions about the games.

D3 then Hots then MoP
Nope. WoW won't have a content patch before MoP, the last one happenend last year. If you really believe ( with losing subs) they'll let WoW sit there without new content for over a year you're just wrong.

Diablo 3 - Target Q2 (lol!) WoW:MoP - Summer 2012
That means there is very high chance that HoTS will NOT be released this year, beta will probably last for 3-4 months then ~2 month break between end of beta and release, and beta wont start before WoW:MoP beta ends (around May-June), so easy math and if they doesn't have any delays (it Blizzard ofc they will lol) then it should be released in December, otherwise 2013. You are just guessing. According to a blizz guy on twitter, MoP is far from release. I just analyze what he said, "at least" two releases in 2012 are indicating that HoTS might not be released in 2012. I highly doubt they will count dota as a one of the two releases. So I am still banking on 2012 for hots. And I doubt we will get dota free in a patch with WoL, we will more than likely have to pay for hots to play dota. So it will be released with hots is what I am guessing. I agree, and i remember that someone offical stated your assumtion. Dota will be free but only playable if you buy hots. They said they were not 100% about it but if they were less than 99% they would not have stated it.

OP is updated with Diablo III and World of Warcraft since people want to know more about these.

Oh a guy on twitter said something, ye thats better source of information than Blizzard Conference... and btw I dont play WoW Link to the tweet?
https://twitter.com/#!/BlizzardCS
Go to the Feb 7th tweets, a guy asked about beta for MoP and he said "we do not currently have a projected date available. Keep an eye on our forums though." I will find the other one.

They almost did it back at the end of Wotlk actually.. But yeah, most likely D3 then MoP then HotS.

And 2013 will be way past the 18 month esimate Blizzard gave for HotS. What makes you think that that's anymore believable? Especially since every expansion for WoW has had periods of no content before they came out... just what you think is so unbelievable.

So you think that they'll let the people who pay monthly subs sit longer with nothing new to do then the SC 2 players who don't pay monthly? I'd like to see a reason for that which doesn't include what you personally care more about.

Think about the balance fails that were in WoL during the beta. It was down right embarrassing. I'm sure Blizzard wants a much more polished game before they even start the beta this time around...

How was it embarassing? That's exactly why they did beta test. Honestly they/we can't expect the game to be balanced when the beta gets released.
When it comes to balance, Blizzard internal testing can go only so far. It's a matter of sheer number. There are only so many people in internal testing team thinking of new strategy vs the entire community.

Given how they're starting to walk back on the Tempest in David Kim's Q and A, I think they realized that it and/or other units were unworkable (the Replicant in particular Browder was saying their were major problems with even as they announced it), and now they have to come out with replacements and rework things pretty significantly. I would not be at all surprised to see some new new units soon, and have some of the announced new units get demoted to single-player only (like the diamondback!)
I don't think balance is exactly the concern, but game design is.

im glad hots wont be till 2012 i want the transition to take place with the new year and after the world championships blizzard are holding
|
Just for the record, Blizz did said that they want to speed up the process for expansion packs for WoW. So it looks like D3, MoP, HotS
|
I knew Diablo 3 would be around in summer.
And HOTS pushed for 2013 no doubt about it .
I already saw it comming months ago.

"More info about HotS March 9th, that's the only concrete thing regarding the Starcraft II expansion." Did they really said that? What event is on march 9th? Maybe we tget some new infos about units etc.

Of course the MoP before HotS doesn't mean there won't be a beta this year just not an actual release until sometime in 2013 one late 2012

Is the Q2 of Diablo 3 Q2 of the calendar year or fiscal year?
|
I think the dates they give are usually calendar year, at least that was the case with the Q3 2011 for D3 beta.
