Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it.

...why would they be looking to "work for an amicable deal with Coach Lee" if they were not interested in aLive?
It could simply be that aLive left the team of his own accord and then approached Fnatic, prompting Lee to think aLive was being poached and/or influenced by talks with the translator prior to leaving, therefore encouraging him (i.e. Lee) to go to the media about it despite the fact that nothing has yet been finalized.
This situation makes about as much sense as that sentence I just wrote.
I agree with your conclusions.
My thoughts would be that aLive has been questioning his place since a number of his team mates left. After some casual conversations with a friend, who happens to work for Fnatic, he decides that the grass may be greener elsewhere.
If he's under a contract, he would obviously not commit to anything. Fnatic are geuine enough to dot their i's and corss their t's, and simply showed their interest if aLive wanted to make a move. Of course Coach Lee would be pissed after hearing anything about it, esspecially after a number of conversations would have been had between aLive and his friend. It's understanable that he may be emotionally highjacked at losing ANOTHER player and it has all become too much and he emotionally lashed out. Also, keep in mind that news sites will often report things in a slanted manner to generate interest.
aLive has left and will go to a good team once contracts are sorted. There is no point in holding onto a player, paying them and having them not perform and damage your own brand. You sell the contract and leave things at that.

They got one out all things considered pretty quickly. If there's a typo in there or something that's hardly something to get offended over.
There were like 3 different run on sentences. And no, I'd rather a press release take 10-15 more minutes to be released and sound professional.
Hahaha, I have to admit I made a face at that. It doesn't even take 10-15 minutes to proofread it.
This certainly puts an interesting twist on things.
I'm inclined to believe it somewhat at this point, seeing as most of my information came from close to TSL and could therefore be biased, however this sounds like a much larger problem than a misunderstanding.
Crow tastes pretty good, huh?
I don't see your point, it's not like Fnatics article clears any of this up at all, it simply states their side of the story. I'm still more inclined to still believe the TSL side of this over the Fnatic. However, I have noticed that you seem to have some problem with me.
Naw, it's nothing personal. It's your blind devotion to TSL and the attitude you display about how they can't seem to do wrong and they're being attacked by everyone. It's the very fact you're more inclined to still believe the TSL side of this, while you just said a moment ago how you were inclined to believe what Fnatic said and agreed that your information "could therefore be biased."
Considering that I have a much closer relationship with TSL than I do Fnatic it's really not that hard to understand. Fnatic's press release leaves a lot of loose ends and half answered questions but I'm also willing to take Fnatic at their word that they haven't signed aLive to a contract simply because Fnatic is a professional organization and they would be crazy to say that and it not be truthful.
Im kinda on fnatic side here.... They gave us a pretty quick answer and ToD offered to show us his point of view. So lets just wait a little longer :-)

I think that what I'm garnering through this and the Fnatic article/clarification is that 1) a language barrier makes it easy to misunderstand and confuse 2) Coach Lee likes to accuse and ask questions later to come out as the victim and place blame on someone. I'm not sure if this a cultural thing, the blame deferral, and its very true that what we see from Fnatic is only their side, but it seems like Lee's M.O. so far.
That's ludicrous, considering Lee has been the only one to go rushing to the media. oGs just lost MC, but neither Spunky nor TheWind have said anything about it. Surely, if it was Lee who had lost MC, the shitstorm probably would have been uncontrollable.
I'm not saying any of this to paint Lee in a bad light, but it definitely seems like his impulsive behavior to "shoot first, ask questions later" is rather chronic.
Of course, all of this is assuming that Fnatic didn't just feed us a bunch of bullshit.

I'd be a proofreader for free, man. D:
Yeah, I originally typed a few seconds, but thought about it, and maybe finding the time to get another guy to read it over or something, idk.
lol lee left on his own accord due to something between him and coach lee. exactly wtf is going on in that house? I mean once, twice and three times might be just bad luck, but this takes the cake.
I dunno, that statement by fnatic didn't change much for me. They're still trying to snipe alive, but just want to do it on peaceful terms now. Their translator still initiated all this like coach lee said.

There's a difference between a casual, unofficial mention of something between a couple friends and an official deal. And if a contract is up, then it's not really sniping at all.
But a lot of things seem really foggy right now. I'm wondering if Alive himself might have misunderstood, or miscommunicated something (unintentionally or otherwise). I'd be very interested in hearing his statement, as well.
I like how half of this thread now is people saying the same thing and the other half is whether Virgil is accurate or not XD
That said, I really think Coach Lee needs to be a little more distant with the media. You can have first reactions, and they can be wild and accusing, that is fine. But going straight to the media about it instead of trying to solve it first? It just mucks up everything else and turns a misunderstanding into a scandal. No offense to him or anything, I still respect him as a coach (don't know him as a person) but he needs to get his trigger-finger off of the media gun.
