Discussing the controversy and stating your opinions in a constructive way is fine, but there will be bans for any player/organization bashing without anything to substantiate it. |
Fnatic have, in fact, stirred the pot and confirmed intentions:
"In conclusion we highly respect both Mr Lee and aLives talents, and from Fnatic's side we will strive to work for an amicable deal with Coach Lee. "
...why would they be looking to "work for an amicable deal with Coach Lee" if they were not interested in aLive?

I don't feel any more informed after reading that response.
If that's all there is to this then who is this website that reported Alive had signed with Fnatic?
I'm unsatisfied.

looks alive is being an idiot actually

With the Fnatic statement I think actually Mama Bear is in the wrong here. Since there is no contract or anything

I agree, if it turns out that Fnatics side IS true, I'm not even sure how I'd be able to remain a staunch TSL fan at that point.
Granted, I'd still cheer for TSL and all, but my respect for Coach Lee would be at an all time low.

Looks like Virgil wasn't in the know after all.

Am I the only one that is very annoyed that fnatic didn't even both to proofread their own friggin' press release? My god, it sounds AWFUL and just makes them seem that much less professional.

...why would they be looking to "work for an amicable deal with Coach Lee" if they were not interested in aLive? It could simply be that aLive left the team of his own accord and then approached Fnatic, prompting Lee to think aLive was being poached and/or influenced by talks with the translator prior to leaving, therefore encouraging him (i.e. Lee) to go to the media about it despite the fact that nothing has yet been finalized.
This situation makes about as much sense as that sentence I just wrote.

I've read every post in this thread and the last thread on the TSL/EG thing when it happened. I think that what I'm garnering through this and the Fnatic article/clarification is that 1) a language barrier makes it easy to misunderstand and confuse 2) Coach Lee likes to accuse and ask questions later to come out as the victim and place blame on someone. I'm not sure if this a cultural thing, the blame deferral, and its very true that what we see from Fnatic is only their side, but it seems like Lee's M.O. so far.

If there's a typo in there or something that's hardly something to get offended over.

Crow tastes pretty good, huh? I don't see your point, it's not like Fnatics article clears any of this up at all, it simply states their side of the story. I'm still more inclined to still believe the TSL side of this over the Fnatic. However, I have noticed that you seem to have some problem with me.
Naw, it's nothing personal. It's your blind devotion to TSL and the attitude you display about how they can't seem to do wrong and they're being attacked by everyone. It's the very fact you're more inclined to still believe the TSL side of this, while you just said a moment ago how you were inclined to believe what Fnatic said and agreed that your information "could therefore be biased."

Esports is really looking like a dark place. And I don't mean in a negative sense, just a lot of slimy shit that goes on that only few know about.

Well the Fnatic response doesn't really clear much up, only that they haven't signed aLive because he still has a contract with TSL. It doesn't state whether or not they do have an intention (why would they reveal this, obviously), and it doesn't really try to disprove Coach Lee's statement. Somewhat vague, but I understand that they can't really say much.
One thing is for certain, aLive is fucked. There is a good chance Fnatic did have intentions to buy his contract, but now might be scared by the shitstorm this created and back out of a deal. TSL won't want him back either. So yeah, aLive is going to be teamless for a while.

It might be that though their idea of training in-house with TSL not working out did not preclude other options of the teams working together.

I think that Lee is jumping the gun a bit. If his accusations were true, then he has all the right in the world to go and get angry to the media. But, as ToD and Fnatic have graciously cleared up, he was not completely straight on his facts. I'm not saying Lee is a bad person, or by any means a bad coach, but he needs to stop relying on the media to get his opinion out fast. He needs to sit down and solve the issue instead of mucking it up more.

There were like 3 different run on sentences. And no, I'd rather a press release take 10-15 more minutes to be released and sound professional.

._.
Fucking so stupid. eDrama gets annoying fast. It seems weird that most of it seems to be around TSL. Makes me wonder what's going on in that house to have so many issues because coincidence is a little too hard to claim by now.

Wow, big of you do say that. However, its not over yet.. we just have to sit back and see which story is correct.
The realist in me is inclined to believe fnatic's statement and its more believable to me that alive (and heart) on his own accord due to "personal reasons."
I get no pleasure in seeing TSL trashed around like this but I also don't think its because they're unlucky. Something is up with their team.. whether its the management or the lack of leadership.
