Protoss Do you play any other games than SC2 Nothing that requires any kind of hand speed. A bit strange for me, most people are getting about 400-450 keystrokes but i have basically the same APM. I should learn how to touch type though. ^^ | ||

I should learn how to touch type though. ^^ That's because typing is so ingrained in muscle memory for most people that it's not even a matter of thinking anymore, whereas you'll still have to decide what to do, when and how in a game of SC2. For instance, I could probably type my name repeatedly a lot faster than I could select base, make probes, select probe, make pylon, select army, attack move + forcefield, select robo, make colossus, select nexus, chronoboost robo, select warpgates, warp stalkers, etc... The latter simply takes a lot more thought and involves more irregular patterns while, when you're typing a word, the letters of that word are a sort of "road map" for what your fingers should be doing. | ||

Blizzard apm in replay: 108-130 SC2 Gears apm: 189-205 EAPM: 110. race: terran. Seems like in sc2 gears zerg almost always have higher apm / effective apm. Even when I offrace zerg and am slow since I'm not used to it I still get way higher apm than when I play terran even though I micro significantly less imo. I guess a lot of it is larvae select + creep spread, those tumors refresh so fast  | ||

Blizz apm- 65-75 sc2 gears apm-110-130 race-protoss FIFA 12 on PS3 competitively It appears I'm really slow compared to everyone else. I guess I'm an example of someone who doesn't type very fast but still can be pretty good at starcraft. Perhaps the only reason I'm masters is because I play protoss. haha | ||
