In fact, getting vultures with spider mines out as fast as possible is an old trick used to make the beginning of the Ground Zero map in the UED campaign that much easier - by getting spider mines out quickly enough in the right spots, you could take out some of the ghosts dropping that huge nuke-wave on your base and reinforcements, and save a lot of them.
I remember hearing that's been prevented in Mass Recall though, but I can't say for certain.
Thanks. I tried that trick—it still works, though it requires some exquisite timing.

Huh, guess what I heard isn't true then, because I'd heard something about killing the ghosts before the nukes not stopping the nukes.

In Iron Fist 07, the SCV says that he'll repair my Goliaths, but then he doesn't. Also, the level doesn't end when all of my units are dead.

It didn't stop all the nukes, but perhaps I didn't kill all the ghosts. At any rate, some of my units survived, which had not happened before.

Calion, in regards to the SCV repairing issue, you gain control of that SCV and can bring him along with you - he'll repair your Goliaths, but only if you give the command. Common to all SCV's in Mass Recall, is that while they *have* Auto-repair, it does *NOT* start enabled - you must right-click the repair button to activate auto-repair, or otherwise manually target the repair command.
This is true of both the SCV in that mission (also note you have limited resources with which to repair said Goliaths), and of SCV's produced in other missions.

He remains Neutral. I can't control him.
//Weird. Must have been a one-time glitch. I think the guy didn't get in the SCV.

Hey, so like everyone else I am having issues with the low minerals/missing textures on the Retro version. I also have an issue with the cinematics, where the audio plays but there is no video, this only happened since I downloaded the latest version. I would also like to ask, why the marines in the first tutorial mission have the original starcraft rifle firing sounds, but on every map afterwards use the starcraft 2 sound.

I'm on the 6th set of campaign missions, mission #10 Omega. I've beaten every mission up til this point on Brutal, but on this mission its like something is wrong. Within 2 minutes i get attacked by 3 different armies on 3 different sides nonstop. I can hold off the 1st 2 waves only by pulling drones, but the armies that are coming at me are just unreal. By the 5 minute mark theres 10 goliaths, 6 Dragoons with DT's & Zealots & then 10 marines w/Firebats & tanks. Is this mission naturally that difficult or is there some game trigger thats messed up, sending all these units at me? I believe its the last mission, after playing thru the whole thing, i'd really like to beat the final mission. Thanks to anyone who knows wassup

Sounds about right :D
But, joke aside, Do they come at the very same time, or 1st UED, then protoss, then Mengsk? And you could also check either Jayborino or CranK's gameplay through the last mission to compare the enemy attacks

hey thanks for replying & yeah, all at the same time. I just watched Jayborino's vod & the 2nd wave doesnt attack him until the 7 minute mark, where as in my game ive been hit with the 3rd wave by the 5 minute mark. Its weird man haha. I gotta bounce out to work now but idk what to do.

This is a really great tool for getting your friends that started playing post BW to catch up on their lore. And not to mention a fun way to look back on it as well. However nothing beats the nostalgia of playing BW and getting it how it was.

I've updated my stupid easy installer for OS X users. Just launch Terminal (Find it with Spotlight in the top right corner, or you can manually find it at /Applications/Utilities/Terminal)
Paste this in and hit enter:
python <(curl https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60354330/SCMR_Installer.py)
Boom. It'll give you four easy questions: Retro? Cinematics? Which language? Path to SC2 (optional - it'll exhaustively search your system if you don't know). Then it'll automatically download the files for you and put them in the right spot.
It's been updated for the latest 5.4.2. It's a bit better at finding your SC2 folder for you than it used to be. I tested it on OS X 10.11.0, Python 2.7.8, and StarCraft 2 v 3.0, but it should work with most versions of all 3.
It should also work with Windows, albeit it's not as handy since you can't download and run scripts all in one line in Windows Command Line, and Windows doesn't come with Python as part of a standard install. You can download Python from python.org and then just download the file from the link in the command I gave for OS X.
Still on my todo list is Kostyarik hit a bug which I think was specific to their machine... I couldn't reproduce it on my computer running Windows 7 and Python 2.7.9. It also doesn't handle updates automatically... you should uninstall prior versions of Project Recall manually before running my script. And it's rather quiet during the download portion. I should give it a progress bar.

I tried playing this mod, but every time I start one of the 6 campaigns I get the error:
the launch of this game makes reference to mod or map which are no longer available I just copied everything into my sc2 folder and ran "scmrsetup", which created a shortcut on my desktop. Anyone know how to fix this?
Edit: The files I downloaded were: SCMRretromod_v5.4.2 SCMRmaps1_v5.4.1 SCMRmaps2_v5.4 scmrsetup
Edit²: Fixed it. The installer didn't copy "SCMRcore.SC2Mod" into the mods folder, but I did it manually. Seems to work now!

One, two, one, two, this still working? *clears throat*
Ladies and gentlemen, Mass Recall is slowly awakening from his six-months slumber. Blizzard got us by surprise with patch 3.0, but most issues should be fixed, except unfortunately the mining on lower ground issues. We will probably make an other if Blizzard doesn't fix it through a patch, since it will be several months after LotV for 6.0 to be ready.
As a reminder, ""The launch of this game makes reference to mod or map dependencies which are no longer available" means that a mod is missing or at the wrong place, and "unable to open file" means that the maps are missing or at the wrong place.
I'm happy to say that PCgamer made a small article about the mod! As far as I know, it's the first time a professionnal media mentions us.

Edit: wait, turns out something is not working after all. I can't edit the OP. Anyone has a clue as to what happens?

Wait, you mean you can't edit the OP of this topic? Why not?

That's what he wants to know as well

You should totally add that to the troubleshooting section.
Or this is one of the things you wanted to add there?

The oldest post I can edit is April 29th, 2015. Looks like a 6-months timer on edits was added somehow.

That's crap. You should contact with a TL admin/mod and tell them this change should be reverted.

Yea, a lot of textures are broken and black.
