Hello, and welcome to the IPL Academy! Whether you're a first-time player or a bronze leaguer looking to earn your promotions, you could benefit from our new YouTube channel and Pro Tips collection. Keep in mind that yes, there will be some very basic information contained in most if not all of these Pro Tips, tutorials, and guides. The idea is not for established players to learn high-level tactics in today's competitive environment, but for people who only have limited experience to be enlightened to some of the game's not-so-obvious nuances.
These tips are bits of advice or pointers that you could show to your siblings, significant others, or even just friends that are taking an interest in StarCraft 2 to try to engage them with what you are already obsessed with!
Right now, we have a limited amount of Pro Tips uploaded, but over time we will be releasing dozens, if not hundreds more. Eventually, we will have an archive full of Pro Tips of varying levels of difficulty that someone can browse by the level they are at, or by the race that they play.
So, without further ado and keeping in mind that these are meant primarily for brand new players, here are some samples of the Pro Tips that we have already uploaded:
Level 1: Beginner
Level 2: Intermediate
Level 3: Advanced
We encourage you all to check out the brand new channel and show one or more of your friends these videos! We will be maintaining this thread with updates and occasional announcements.
We hope that you will make use of this growing resource! If you have ideas for simple tips, pointers, tutorials, or guides that we could add to our archives, leave them in the comments here! We hope you will subscribe and urge others to subscribe as well. Thank you and have a wonderful day. =)
Stay up to date with IPL 4 Qualifiers, IPL TV, IPL Fight Club, and IPL Team Arena by checking our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch.TV!
Keep in mind that this is a brand new youtube channel, so if you subscribe to http://www.youtube.com/ignproleague (and thank you if you do) you won't see these videos. The reason we did that is so that people who subscribe to our main youtube channel who don't want to see videos intended for newer players won't. If you are a newer player and want to see these videos or a veteran player who might know some people who could benefit from these videos, you can subscribe to just this channel and get only that content.
Thanks everyone! We're really focused on building a large library of tips and tricks to give everyone tools to help convert their friends to SC2 fanatics!
I got really excited for a second b/c i thought this was going to be something similar to coL acadmey. Oh well, hope it'll become a good database for newbies
In the first Shattered Temple clip, the T has siege tanks on the high ground, but in the second, the tanks are behind the bunkers. I get that you're trying to make A-move high and mighty... but... consistency, man! <3

Love the idea though.
Well, you can't exactly drop psi storms all over the place with A-Move, either. =P

Well we have an office full of StarCraft players and personalities. It's pretty much just consensus between myself, Frank, Alex, HD, PainUser, CatsPajamas, etc.
For the advanced tip Zerg method, you should suggest changing the hotkeys to something easier like not backspace (tilde is good).
Made an edit.
You guys should maintain color formation and personalities. Cats for beginners, HD for intermediate and Painuser for Advanced as well as the colors Green, Yellow and Red/Orange to distinguish the differences instead of relying on the title.

By the way this forum berates Protoss, you'd think so. ;P
Thanks guys! I'm trying to get a few of my friends to practice and get good, this seems like an awesome resource. IPL taking care of the gosus of tomarrow
I think it would be useful to include macro related things for beginners. I don't know how basic you're going but things like a base requiring 30 workers to be fully saturated. Or some how demonstrating or giving tips on how to keep constant worker production and not get supply capped. Some very new players, my friend for example even after completing the campaign, don't even reliably keep up worker production sub 10 supply.
Solid generic build openings might be nice too for beginner or advanced.
We're still open to more suggestions for Tips, Tricks, Tutorials, and other stuff that we can add to the channel! Don't forget to show the Academy to any friends or family that are trying to learn the game. =)
