I think this goes in the right direction let's give it a try, but Protoss has a new route to pursue, the upgrade route.
That being said: 1- This is still PTR, so let's not assume this is 100% the patch we're gonna get 2- I can't believe that a good amount of Toss players in this thread are actually complaining about the changes. Not enough, reaaaaally?

In most situations, I see many terrans making more ghosts than they need and throw down more than whats actually necessary to cover the entire protoss army. This will just put all of those extra ghosts and EMPs to effective use assuming Terran has half a brain to spread his EMPs better.

Every race has players that will never be satisfied. I personally don't get it. I think even a minor positive change is a big step.

Why is it retarded? HTs will demolish them if you don't. Boxer did it in NASL vs Mana.

Ah yes, cheaper upgrades for protoss. I felt like PvP games were really dragging on too long, it nice that that there are now decisive push timings to curb game length.

PvT seems quite balanced until late-game where i think protoss becomes quite powerful
Cheaper upgrades seemed like a good idea because protoss is usually strapped for gas all the time.

I think this will play a very VERY big roll in the later game, the 300 gas that is used for the each of the 3/3 upgrades is alot even in the end game, but 200 ? meeh

Ghosts are monetarily pretty expensive. Plus, they cost 2 food each. I think that's pretty fair. What are you looking for? 3 food cost?

Would've liked to have seen a snipe nerf over an EMP nerf honestly. But still, nice. Not sure the reasoning behind the protoss upgrades though. Sure they cost more, but you can chrono them so the amount of time it takes to collect the extra resources is nullified... I kinda see that not making it through the PTR. Maybe shields, but as a former Protoss player I never was too peeved about how much the other ones cost.

I think he means that a lot of protoss unit hits twice. Zealot and collosus comes to mind, thus makng the weapon upgrades twice as powerful.

I think 1-1-1 will be figured out soon enough. It's kind of like the 2 rax marine /scv all in from the second GSL that wiped the floor with so many zergs. Nowadays it's a complete joke, and none does it.

Couldn't you say the same for Zerg vs Protoss upgrades;'it works both ways but you get chronoboost and not to mention you have colossus and immortAls out way before broods come into the mix. Also Zerg relies on air units vs colossi which comes hand in hand with the need for air upgrades .
Fundamentally Zerg has to upgrade two different tech paths to have complete late game army (standard army) Protoss doesn't .
This patch If anything is gonna break zergs
Also dont colossi and immortal damage benefit hugely from + weapons upgrades it pretty much negates Zerg armor because of the initial damage + huge increase added onto initial damage for colossi immortals
