hmm.... this was not cool... im guessing they want ppl to use warp prisms more if we are talking about offensive play? forcing ppl to go for robo build isnt cool though, that surely fks up alot of timings. not cool blizz.

First protoss gets increase build time on warpgate research, then pylon range reduction, then they won't allow us to warp units on ramps. Now we even got this?

That looks like a pretty good way to nerf both 4 gate and canon rush in PvP. They just need to revert pylon range change now and it would be great.

Yay another Protoss nerf.

Why don't they just realise having warp gates so early is bad game design. Make it a later tech and buff gateway units to compensate.

This is so silly. There is no benefit from removing this other than making it easier for other races. The only thing that was even slightly annoying was the low to high ground cannon rush on meta (which is not a problem since its not in the map pool) and the low to high ground proxy gates on xnc, which are easy to beat when scouted.

This removes basically all 1 base aggression against terran, stargate would have absolutely 0 viability against terran, absolutely zero. Hallucination pushes against protoss, terran and zerg and all now useless, and 5gates against zerg are seriously nerfed. It also makes any sort of blink rush significantly worse, and hinders protoss late game harass capabilities.

As also stated it stops making buildings on high ground (which a lot of people do on the 4th on Tal'Darim, the gold on Antiga and the 3rd on XNC.

This better not go through or I, and a lot of other protoss players will not be happy campers.

There are a lot more reliable and solid timings to beat a Terran FE (MC's Stalker Sentry for example). The expansion isn't risk free at all.

This isn't the best idea imo. It nerfs protoss harass options more than 4gate, which isn't really that big of an issue in pvp atm.
ModeratorProtoss all-ins are like a wok. You can throw whatever you want in there and it will turn out alright.

I don't like it. After the nerfs to the pylon, the ramps etc. I've never seen a use of this that felt broken. It was always stoppable. It also has applications for harass or for clever all-ins that I think are bad for the game to disappear. Blizzard was so into cliff-jumping units and now look where they've gotten: the reaper is barely used, the colossus universally hated and not used much for harass, high ground warp-ins removed.
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.

stupid change, absolutely no reason for this at all. Even though I have no experience with Zerg I think i will change in the next weeks. with hots i definately want to play zerg since thats (in my opinion) the only race that will get more interesting (design)

I was addressing his complaint that a 1base play with Stargate is "too strong" against his fast expand. Maybe he should scout better?

I didn't say it became risk free after this nerf. But the poster clearly wishes it was risk free.

Actually 3g and 4g VR is very common in PvT. I do it all the time against marauder expands and wall off 1-1-1's, its going to be very bad after hots though.
