So gimmicky stuff that relies on the opponent scouting like a nub, and cannon rushes. No great losses occurring here.

Why do I even play Protoss any more.

I was hoping the collective IQ of the Blizzard design team was above 80, I guess I was wrong. They might as well get rid of Protoss and replace it with palette swapped Terran units.

I dont understand why they are completely removing something from the game that is powerful but preventable by scouting. Why dont they remove banshees and dts? Both are pretty fucking hard to stop if you dont have any detection.

I just dont understand why they are limiting the creativity of Protoss so much. Noone thought this was overpowered. It is on noone's list of most hated strategies in the game. Forget about cheese, it is such a useful mid-late game strategy to test the multitasking of a zerg or terran much like terran drops are.

Oh well at least the 111 will be 100% countered by the replicant.

If they stop this then low ground units shouldn't be able to shoot on the high ground at all - especially obnoxious terrans that kill pylons and buildings from the lowground. It's the same thing

I think it's a great change. Now Protoss will have to get Warp Prisms to use this type of tactic.

It is because terran units are all ranged. The high ground warp in was great for harass IF you had vision and the terran didn't scout the perimeters of the base = /

So basically it was a useful harass strat if the terran was caught off guard.

All the people on here complaining about cannon rushes and 4 gate from the low ground are scrubs. 4 gate in PvP is bad now on almost every map. In every other matchup, 4 gate is not even an issue.

But you could use the Robo for other things, and depending on how you used the WP, it could either help you out or just be a waste of money. Yes Robo's not gonna be as amazing as it used to be, but since Terran might use more mech, Immortals might come into play more seriously.

Absolutely terrible change. There are so many uses that have nothing to do w/ gimmicks or cheese that are going to be affected by this. I know this has already been said, but I can't help but reiterate this fact. Even things like late game DT harass (which is not cheese for all those who think all DT play is cheese) will be vastly impaired by this. Building placement in your own base can even be affected. This is a silly change that addresses an issue that has already been addressed more than enough and only effects 1 MU.

great change for team games, the amount of maps riddled by overlord dt warpins and low ground cannon rushes ( for 3v3 and 4v4) is ridiculous .. I think this change will mostly affect PvP and thats a good thing.

What a joke. Protoss doesn't have to be screwed even more, it's actually the opposite.

Awesome strats?

By awesome strats you mean 3 gate Void ray, 2 gate cheese, 4 gate, and cannon rushing?

You can still do all you're cheeses anyways, just with a lot less power.

This encourages more warp prism use, and less abusive cheese.
