If what someone posted earlier is correct then they are very weak and would likely only see use in fighting off cheese and are relatively worthless by themselves.

"The new nexus defensive ability seems to be decent for super early game, not much else. Basically you can cast it on any of your structures and it gives it a weak attack. Artosis built a pylon in my mineral line and cast the new spell on it. My SCVs killed it and it only managed to take one SCV to 5 health."

I think it would be fine if it would be available all the time, no need to force protoss into a certain tech direction to make use of it. It forces the Toss to decide between chronoboost and saving for recall, so they have to actually select the right nexus if they want to CB to not accidently have the main nexus without energy when the drop arrives.

I also like the "anti-light gun" spell, it allows protoss to save energy early on and then defend against 6/7 pool without having to get a forge or play more risky and CB probes.

What? It competes with Chrono Boost. Protoss aren't going to be too willing to give up their macro mechanic without a real plan. And that plan won't be "just recall a bunch". It'll be something more like "attack, then back away, but at the cost of 2-4 CBs".


Nexus only cost 400 minerals. That means you can simply build an extra nexus somewhere in your base and stock the energy up without having to stop making probes/spend gas like the mothership required.


Nexus is effectively 300 minerals because they supply you with 1 pylon worth

Yea, I guess it was basically a nexus-spell before to the extent that you had to produce the mothership out of the nexus to get access to recall. I wonder how the spell is unlocked...I'm assuming the fleet beacon.

This is correct. Terran gets 1 unit replaced. Hellion for Combat-Hellion-optimus-unit.
