Ghosts aren't massive either lol Protoss can temporarily stop workers from mining off a few mineral patches... and Terran gets shredder drops? Don't really see how that's fair... Yes yes hyberbole I just mean one will deal with it the same way one deals with MM, split them up, kill them from afar etc. Except it'll cost more than MM so...seems bad to me.
Dunno why anyone would be scared of shredder drops. With the setup time they'll struggle to kill any workers at all. Unless you don't react until the shredder is in your mineral line, but then you suck and deserve it!

You'll need some bloody good reactions to notice the target and blink in the space of time it takes for the missiles to hit though

When they say warhounds are good vs mechanicals units, that means they are good vs armored units such as roaches?

Good point. My main problem with the Warhound is that the AA splash seems Archon-esque, and that was pretty weak as is imo. If the range is ok, I'll happily eat my words, but right now I'm not a fan of this replacement of the Thor

No, just mechanical units. Its like how the roach does extra damage vs bio

Repeat!

It seems like everyone is forgetting that the Dark Swarm-like ability blocks spellcasting. No Forcefields, no Storms, no abduct, and most of all, no fungal growth
The Warhound looks god awful. I hope the model changes
I do have to say, I thought each expansion was going to add a single unit, like BW added 2 units to each race. I'm really not a huge fan of these changes.

To People who were at Blizzcon
How many of you guys went 13gate/14gas (ie normal opening), put a pylon on the low ground of your friends base (or in his base lol), then put a much more forward pylon and when it was building, "arc'd" the lower pylon until the next pylon was up....
Because my friend was REALLY pissed to find out that pylons are now cannons. He said "NR10".
The BOSS cannon rush is going to be a million times worse now too. Now no matter what build protoss does, it's a potential cannon rush.

They'll just add a warpgate type tech to delay such nonsense. People did exactly the same thing in WoL alpha with warpin.

Combat-EX #1 GM incoming?
There was a thread on that cheese too. It'll either get figured out (to the point that it'll become useless) or nerfed away I'm sure.

terran video: 15mins, toss video: 9mins and you will probably think that zerg's video will be longer than them since we are talking about HotS here but nope: zerg video: 4mins. LOL.
we cannot tell what units will be in the final porduct so there is no point of talking about balance/impact to game etc, we cant do anything anyway if blizz decided to make these units into the game. however, from these videos, there is one thing for sure, blizzard is not a fan of the zerg or simply lack of effort to show us they have love for zerg. many changes they are going to give to zerg can so be done in WoL........
that supposedly lurker replacement is bad imo. lurker is a mobile siege but this thing is pretty....immobile....and the things it produces are for tanking?lol
and viper is pretty much specifically designed for counter marines haha quick tip for your blizz, why dont you actually make changes on marines?? the pulling of colosus is pretty funny too, can it pull any air unit too lol again a pretty broken unit or otherwise it is a completely useless unit...
overall the updates on HotS are pretty disappointing - not only because zerg units didnt excite me, toss and terran's new units are pretty dull to me too. i meant, of course i will buy HotS on launch but i didnt get the ' HOLY SH!T I WANNA PLAY THAT NOWWWW!!!' feeling that i had on WoL

The most Horrible thing is, that Protoss still won't have any Macro Ability. ='( No chance to catch up with Mass Worker Inject, not to mention MULEs. If Toss goes Forge FE, Zerg gets 3 Hatch immediately... (and we got barely 0,6 Worker for a Boost ! LoL so Sad)
|
FFE with constant worker chronos keeps up with 3hatch in worker count.
Chrono just became shit lategame, which has been more than solved with recall.

Chronobust probes balances the terran mules.

To be fair, I think the second half of the Terran video was just a double-repeat of just how ridiculous the Shredder is.
But I did think it was funny that the third *new unit* for the Zerg was just an ultralisk change lol.
That being said, look at the polls... Zergs are most happy with the new units, compared to the Terrans and Protosses. You have Lurker 2.0 and Defiler 2.0!
