I would LOVE to see that happen. I despise the Colossus with a vengeance. Should have never been fucking added in to the Toss and threw them off like this.

Of course you can buff gateway units without removing warp gate.

I agree. Was quite disappointed to see Blizzard still cling to the Colossus despite all the hate it gets. PvP is still going to be boring as hell thanks to them.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Not my carriers! Sure they sucked in every matchup, but in pvt that was mainly because of the popularity of bio. Now with mech being once again viable in pvt, carriers could actually be good if they got a slight buff.
The new big corsair is gonna be pretty lame imo. its just more lazers killing shit like the colossus and voidray, and we all hate watching/playing that. not to mention that big corsair + colossus will probably be rediculious to handle super late game since colossi will just mealt every thing on the ground while templsts will rape everything in the air.
i like the new nexus abilitys though, now you can do a expo with the nexus cannon thing and a gateway rather than forge.
replicator also seems pretty cool but a bit stupid at the same time. i mean, what good units can u replicate that arent massive and will let you get to melee range? in pvt, geting into melee range will be near impossible to get any good units( eg. siege tank, raven, bc). In pvz, you could get some good units like broodlords(if u can get air units) or ultras though.
vipers seem imba good, with abduct you can completely shut down protoss splash and tanks. reverse dark swarm is also pretty stupid since its esentially just hold a button and click everywhere over their army to make it useless.

i really dont see how they can be cost effective if thats the case. Clone Infestor= Deathball+Fungal trolololol^^ Replifestor + HT => Trolololo. sigh this is what im talking about. u guys do know that vipers make any and all spell casters useless right? so replicating a infestor wont do anything to the deathball as long as u can get some clouds on it. ur better off replicating a viper then an infestor. Replicating a viper to stop vipers....
I like it.

Wait, so when it says that a replicant gains all of unit's upgrades does that mean it will have 3/3?

It obviously is supposed to fill the same role, but i still think the lurker is way way way more exciting and i didnt even watched/played that much broodwar. i really like it actually. gameplay notwithstanding of course since we haven't played it, but it's a neat idea, and it makes the zerg more zergy. people are always complaining about how zerg doesn't feel 'swarmy' enough in sc2, but between infested terrans, broodlings from broodlords and now locusts, i feel like it's kind of hard to argue that. it also seems like it might be a threat that grows as the battle goes on - i haven't read anything about these units being on a timer so a decent pack of swarm hosts (i'll admit i hope the name changes to something catchier) adding disposable units to an army could be a really bad thing for the other player to ignore. i dunno i'm just not that nostalgic about the lurker. it was badass and all but i'm glad they're attempting new mechanics with a different style even while they recognize that those old lost units have left holes that needed to be filled. but i'm just imagining the wall of broodlings, locusts and infested terrans slowly rolling over everything and getting chills from it. (besides the egg-spawned units that will obviously be what you want to focus on microing.
Ya well im probably a bit overcritical, in fact i like most of the zerg changes, also most of the added upgrades and stuff. The new Corrupter ability is super retarded though.
I do like the new Shredder and the replacement of the Thor for a more mobile antiair and okay vs ground unit.
But the Protoss changes are just so underwhelming. If they added the arbiter and reaver and a random other fun unit, people would be flipping out here and love the addon so much. But as it is now most of the protoss players just hate the addon and i guess if they won't change some major things til release they will continue to do so.

Ghost Cloak cost is now fixed Reapers will regenerate health while out of combat Battle Cruisers get a speed boost on cooldown, so they can burst out at 110% speed Banelings will now have burrow-move Hydras are getting a speed upgrade
all of these units are getting buffed but not a single tweak to the gateway units? i think toss is going to do very bad if these changes go live with no attention to protoss. David Kim still seems to think that protoss is the strongest race.

I assume it means all currently researched.....remember when mind control would just mind control its base form?

No, just shit like siege mode and cloak (active or passive)

Why do we need fancy units to provide mobile detection? Why can't overlords just detect like they did in BW?

If you replicate a banshee you will recieve the banshee cloak ability, even if Terran hasn't researched cloak yet.

Cant argue about arbiters, though.

And then make 4 gate an overpowered strategy in PvT and PvZ.

Wait...what happens when a replicated becomes a baneling?

You can if you remove the Sentry. A lot of people on both sides would be happy.

Brood lords and ultralisks are massive, actually.
