Ignore the balance of it because you can just adjust balance assuming its not there and think about what it forces the protoss army to be. They have to be clumped up in one big ball to maximize the collosus' tight area of dmg favoring only small harass instead of full on multi pronged attacks. | ||

Hellibats: this opens up so much potential for T I'm a bit baffled by all the negativity. I guess most T wanted another new unit instead? Honestly though, you mass hellions right? You can take out bases and wipe out mineral fields and shit, right? Now you can also literally rush back all the way from opp base to home when you see a swarm of lings coming out of the opp base and "mount up" and deal. Sounds pretty sick to me. Thor -> Warhound: this is such a buff. Try massing thors and making them go up that ramp, navigate around those buildings to get to those mutas harassing your mineral line. Warhound with less dps doesn't make a lick of diff cause you'll have MORE of them over the same space and for the same amount of resources. Viper: (sorry in advance if someone mentioned this but I wrote this reply around page 180) Who the hell said it DOESN'T come out of lair? Someone said it is LAIR TECH but that only means you need a lair to build it. NOWHERE is it said it doesn't come from Spire, like (most) other flyers. What am I missing? I sure hope I am, but seriously, a unit this powerful that comes out of a lair with no building req is ridiculous. But if it comes out of spire Z are doomed to eternal DT rush hell like said before (and yeah, spores are nice, but you're going from "z have spores and overseers at lair" to "z have spores" which is downright counter to what Blizz is saying they wanna fix (early game scouting to prevent all the bloody cheese wins). Edit: the obvious answer to the Viper thing is that it comes out of a new building that doesn't take as long as spire to build. D'oh. | ||
