At first I was angry that they removed the carrier, but now I'm ok since the carrier itself is hard to make useful as a single unit. I really like the new air units a lot better. I'm super excited about the new uses for nexus energy.

The shredder seems like a mobile mine of sorts and I can just see sitting behind a line of Shredders >> bunkers >> tanks outside my nat and kekekeing to victory. Holding ground just wasn't something they needed to get better at.


It's to make mech viable vs protoss. Mech was only viable vs protoss in BW because of spidermines. These are like spidermines but cost supply and don't suicide.

They're not. That's why we're getting a goliath type unit for mech again. 15 mutas beat up to about 6-7 thors (maybe even more) and that's super cost effective.

Wow I didn't realize they removed the carrier... one of the most iconic units for protoss from BW. *sigh*. Why not just buff it so it is decent, or just leave it in for people to have some fun with it, but not use it in serious games.

How does this work, then? Does it have an absurd LoS, or can it replicate something in the enemy's base because I have an observer there, or can I extend it's LoS by having several observers in a chain of vision? And I just realized how it could see up a hill, it's psionic, I forgot that detail about LoS mechanics.

Well, maybe you should get some detection. I mean, Zerg don't get burrow-move Banelings until Tier 3. If you can't get detection by then, you deserve to lose your whole mineral line.
