Also, another ground to air splash damage unit (from the factory) for terran? That must mean thors are being removed then right? Either way I'm happy to see mech is going to be more durable (with the battle hellion) for terran. I'm not sure how I feel about the new protoss unit also being a capital ship... I would rather have it be a nearly equivalent cost to the void ray, or simply be a flying spellcaster. Edit: Also the pull on the flying zerg unit (viper) seemed to have ridiculous range... it will make collosus useless against them. And the burrowing zerg unit that spawns units... meh. I guess it depends how it works, but it seems like that will be hard to balance in different situations, so I feel they will be very weak in the later game, but stronger early on. | ||

You're are so absolutely right. Blizzard does have a long running track record of broken games that are unplayable due to balance issues. They obviously don't know what they are doing. I'm not sure how they have such a large following given the fact that all of their games are so terrible and broken. Clearly they fucked up again, and once again nobody will buy or play their ridiculously unfair and broken game. I wish they had people that know how to make games. -_- | ||

Terran has the most units and the most flexibility: 3 units added none removed. Protoss has the 2nd most units (not going to argue if P or Z is more flexible. I have an opinion but it's debatable, unlike for T): 3 units added 2 removed. Zerg has the fewest combat(ish) units: 2 added 1 removed. Almost everyone agrees the corrupter needs to go and it's still in with an ability that I can't really see mattering for Zerg (making money isn't Z's problem--honestly I would rather have corruption). Mothership out just as people are finally starting to use it. I guess I was expecting T to have some of their openers removed (like the bashee or something) but instead they seem to be trying to make the reaper viable too. Also does T really need another zoning ability? The shredder seems like a mobile mine of sorts and I can just see sitting behind a line of Shredders >> bunkers >> tanks outside my nat and kekekeing to victory. Holding ground just wasn't something they needed to get better at. None of the above says anything about balance (I'm a little nervous about putting Zerg mobile detection behind another building but it's not like Blizz is going to overlook this if you can just make DTs and win every game)... that will get worked out... but from a game design perspective I really don't get what the plan is here. On the plus side, I think the P harass unit is actually a pretty good idea assuming it's worth it. P really does need to be able to slow down Z and T a little and I also like the umbra thing on the viper. Dark Swarm was awesome and having it's cousin back should make the game much more exciting. I have no clue how the replicant will work. | ||

Tempest: Solve none of the weaknesses of the Carrier (Unless the ground attack is even more dps than the Carrier) while also not being a good response to mass muta which is where the +dmg against light and splash helps. 300/300 75 second build time, have fun never being built because you solve even less of a purpose than Carriers. This is idiotic. 75 second build time is lightyears faster than the carrier, it flies faster than the carrier, and aoe makes it really good against Mutas/Vikings, and mass air in general. It basically seems like a giant corsair, which if anything could make it too good against mass muta. | ||

150/200 for the Oracle, and having it come from the Stargate instead of the robo, is nice imo. I like the cost, the abilities and the location so far. | ||

all nexus's get a free mothership over it . i used to rush motherships against zerg to counter muta. mutas strength is their mobility, and mass recall countered mutalisks nicely and allowed me to defend 4+ bases however now against zerg every single nexus gets a free mothership.... every nexus can use mass recall holy crap mutas will be dead against protoss completely | ||
