I don't know why so many people are freaking out about this, I think much of the new stuff is almost perfect after really thinking about it. They managed to solve a lot of the problems and fill a lot of the holes with new ideas that are really pretty unique for the most part for zerg and protoss and provided terran with a couple of new tweaks to fix minor issues.
Mind you, there are a few things I don't like (the Viper's GET OVER HERE for example is just silly IMO), but for the most part it's all good.
Mech should be viable in all matchups now without nerfing bio. Protoss got a good scouting unit/harassing unit out of the stargate and a viable capital ship, and is now capable of dealing with mass mutas. Zerg got a siege/space control unit and better detection along with a nice improvement to corrupters and some other sexy changes. The replicant is actually really cool if you think about it, it's going to require a lot of thought and practice to use properly, but might be really strong in some situations.

i would not lie , alot of the things look cool, but im very skeptical of 3 things in particular, if they make it to main stream lord help us all.
- The pudge hook from the viper "the scorpion get over here"... not sure how that got past the drawing board, cant they clearly see that its overpowered? drag in some colossus for a free kill?
-the recall on the nexus, now this one gripes me the most, its basically begging to be like warcraft 3 with the town portal. so basically every 2 minutes or something protoss can do a recall? what about mass nexus ? infinity recall? , if they do this then i'd presume its a much smaller AOE radius for recalling? maybe something that can get a few units of toss to harass and recall em back?
-ultralisk Burrow charge ... Now this a wtf moment to me... talk about removing all forms of positioning/micro. From HOTS and out it looks as if marines are as good as dead from now on out.

Those look surprisingly not aweful o.O!

Looking at the wrong base brah~

Yeah but they didn't removed units when passing from SC to SCBW. I very sad to see some units removed.

yeah, or i could just make more wg's and be flexible that way...

My question is.. Why does T & P get 3 new units while Z only gets 2 despite being a zerg-centric expansion?

Yeah it is really awkward but i'm going to love yanking those Colossus out of Protoss Death Balls :D Well... Look at the old Neural Parasite. Instead of keeping them out of the battle you just grab them and kill them . Colossus are already a unit that needs to be babysat constantly... It is VERY easy to get a colossus killed if it gets anywhere near the main Zerg army. This just makes the colossus kind of useless don't ya think? Good, the collossus is a catastrophy in game design and the reason that protoss meta game hasnt developed, fuck that unit. I agree wholeheartedly, it must go in HotS. Also, have anyone seen a pattern in the voting? Majority love the Zerg units which is basically BW all over again, while new non BW units for Terran and Protoss gets dislike. Terran gets firebats, goliaths and a bigger version of the spidermine. Sounds very BWesque to me^^. lol yea but this goliath is pretty pathetic to be honest it basically is a Goliath, Idk who Blizzard think they're trying to fool with making a new unit that fills the Goliaths role and hoping the viewers won't notice.
In TvZ it will fill the role the Goliath did, but in TvT and TvP it will help the Terran army deal with the many Mechanical units both races have. I actually think this change makes the unit a lot more interesting then the Goliath was.

Why do I have the feeling that SC2 players/forums/balancing is turning more and more into childish, whinish, WoW-like players/forums/balancing?

As SC2 had excellent balance already, don't be too hasty to rate HOTS, also it might come out a bit different than in this preview, because pros will brake game for sure.

1 thor only? are you fucking joking?

Nice post, but I'm not sure I like the pulling ability thing of the viper... sounds OP to me... and I'm sad... no more mothership, no more archon toilet

Everything toss gets besides the new observer is just gimmicky... Why give us a different carrier when we hardly used the first one. Fleet beacon is the least built structure so we will never use the new carrier. On the other hand Zerg gets 2 GAME CHANGING units with great abilities and many uses. To me this expansion looks like a very long and painful road for protoss.

Burrowed MOVING banelings though is ridiculously overpowered. That shit better not make it in. Burrowed Bling landmines can already completely wreck a terran army, now they fucking move? So we can't punish you for not having a detector with your army? Seriously. If they're not going to nerf detection especially terran) then they might as well make more covert stuff. i dont see what's so strong about terran detection. Personally i like getting ravens but other than that you dont have much Terran detection is terrible compared to the other races, but possibly more even with Z now if they don't have overseers. Every scan is a mule lost that is needed to keep up with P/Z, and units can run outside of scan range. Ghost emp is too costly. Turrets can't attack ground (even Z has spine/spore combo) and ravens cost tons of gas, come from a techlab starport that T doesn't really ever want, and has the durability of a paper airplane. You're so cute.

broodlings main damage is when they first collide with a unit, not the damage that comes after. The broodlings on the ground are mainly space control and force the enemy to kite. Again, broodlords do most of their main damage when the broodlings impact their target.
This doesn't have any impact, the units just spawn. Lurkers countered marines, this unit looks like it gets countered by marines.

Like, why are people even saying this? The CAMPAIGN is the "zerg-centric" part. It's not like they made a "zerg expansion" for the MULTIPLAYER. The zerg part is for the casual, campaign playing crowd.
Zerg actually gets the best units, can't believe you care so much about the QUANTITY.
