When I hit PvP on the ladder I simply leave the game. This expansion doesn't seem to change anything about PvP. Hopefully the new Nexus ability can reign in 4-gate and other early gateway unit pressures. But I am very unsold on that concept. The main thing about PvP I hate is the Colossus. None of the new units nor ability seem to do anything to stop 7 Colossus from being built and walking over everything. To me, Colossus are the least fun unit in the game. On paper they look cool. In practice they are not fun. I want to be Protoss but I can't stand 1/3 of my games being terribly unfun. I was hoping this expansion would change that. I thought the Colossus was the most, or perhaps the second most hated unit in the game. I was hoping it would get changed or removed. I like how the Zerg have a new and effective way of dealing with it but that doesn't help in PvP DT rush into Chargelot DT salvage into Archons? Experimental Phoenix PvP? Or ye olde 4 Gate? there are still a number of options in PvP against mass Colossus. | ||

still very cool that they're willing to put such off the wall units in the game. i hope most of them work out. glad zerg got cool toys, feel kinda bad for protoss, terran already has everything they need so who cares. though the shredder thing could be interesting i suppose. have we found out where the viper and swarmhost come from? i know viper requires lair and swarmhost requires infestation pit, but do we know what they morph from? they both kinda look like they morph from the hydralisk, which would be a cool spin on the unit - take an all-around DPS unit and choose to dedicate it to utility spellcasting or siege damage... or is it siege? what would you call what this thing does? position busting? i guess that's siegeing. would be a clever solution to the problem of hydralisks only being useful during 5 minutes of an average game. anyway, gonna sit here and wait for confirmation on the details. | ||

Yea, his logic makes no sense. The changes look interesting, i can see at least a couple of them not making it to release. Some of the new abilities seem a little gimmicky and don't feel like Starcraft as much. We'll have to see it play out tho, the only thing i'm sure tht i don't like is the Collapsable Rocks, which is really stupid and i hope it dosen't make it into the game, | ||
