New worker type unit spawned from carriers. Insted of interceptors, carriers will launch these drones at mineral patches and gysers and return to the carrier, eliminating the need to expand late game while giving the carrier some use!

Blizzard wouldn't put a unit that looks exactly like another on the stargate (phoenix) - it would be too confusing for a game designed for esports. "Is he making a phoenix, or [that thing that looks like the phoenix]?"

So, 1 of 2 possibilities

1 - They remove the phoenix (less likely)
2 - This unit comes from either the robo bay (more likely) or warpgates.

I'm seeing this as some sort of ultra-slow reaver type unit produced from the robo bay. Slowly hovering over the ground, and has a charge up mechanism with AoE damage.

Yes, I know that means its role conflicts with the colossus. Gasp! Who knows, maybe they could solve a few issues if they just got rid of that unit....

Protoss will have an accompanying ground unit that comes from the gateway and will be unique (there can only be one in play, like the mothership); Batman.

Yes, i know that some of you think that Batman should go to Terren but then Batman would be an imba op unit, so naturally it will go to the protoss.

But the unit does have a few weakness, it would be moody and brooding most times, so it would only be available sometimes.

But it would have cloak in maps that are dark and gloomy, but only if you don't have vision in that area.

The problem with this argument is that the unit looks a little bit too complex to be an interceptor replacement/complement. Thinking about how small and simple the interceptor is, this unit just doesn't seem to fit alongside the interceptor.

I don't know what to make of this new unit :S I'm guessing it can his both air and ground (phoenix already has the air to air down). But I reccon it will be a spell caster. What spell? Who knows lol

Well, without legs or anything else that seems to point to ground locomotion that thing has to come from the Stargate. It's been said a million times, but it looks like an SC2 corsair/phoenix hybrid.

I don't think it's a true air unit. Looks more like it skims over the ground. I'm not sure if it will come from the robo bay or stargate, but I don't think it will be a flying unit.
