I'm not saying it's overpowered, I just mean that from the sound of it that ability would be really overpowered. It probably isn't IMO, and if Blizzard can balance that they can balance Baneling launchers. Hopefully.

Yeh, but the collossus is just a horrid a-move unit that is only effective in a blob. Hopefully it will get replaced, no idea what blizzard was thinking when they designed it.

Funnily enough, it actually does look like a reverse Hydra Roach XD. I can't wait to see the Protoss one! Partly so I can fantasise about using it, but also because I predict a bunch of people are going to whine about it and say it has no chance of 'saving' Protoss.

I'm talking more about design than theme. This is less true in SC2, but Zerg in BW was about fast, in your face units that would overwhelm the opponent and push him back. That Zerg had no ground siege unit was an asymmetry that made for interesting gameplay.


Well considering we have no clue on the range or movement speed of this unit so far you are assuming that it is slow and does a ton of damage. Maybe it is fast, can take enough damage to get underground and siege a small area ~5 range. Until then we can only deduce what it looks like and not what it is capable of.

A unit with 5 range is not a siege unit (edit: in the sense that I meant it, which is a unit with siege range like the Colossus with TL).
