I would switch to toss so fast if they got reavers back, such a great fucking exciting unit in BW

A ground unit with siege range just isn't zergy in my opinion. (The Lurker only had 6. People call it a siege unit but it's more like a very positional melee unit. To attack with lurkers you had to move up pretty close and burrow, giving the defending player a chance to run away or focus fire them down.) explain why u think that? a sige range unit for zerg can be "zergy" easily depending on design. have u ever seen the movie starship troopers? i often compare zerg to "the bugs" in that movie. in that movie they had some kind of tank like beatle that could launch acidic blobs at extremly long ranges. if they make the siege unit for zerg a organic slow walking mobile unit then i can easily see it working. I'm talking more about design than theme. This is less true in SC2, but Zerg in BW was about fast, in your face units that would overwhelm the opponent and push him back. That Zerg had no ground siege unit was an asymmetry that made for interesting gameplay. Well considering we have no clue on the range or movement speed of this unit so far you are assuming that it is slow and does a ton of damage. Maybe it is fast, can take enough damage to get underground and siege a small area ~5 range. Until then we can only deduce what it looks like and not what it is capable of. A unit with 5 range is not a siege unit. Well lets play semantics... then. What do you want to call something immobile that can't move while firing? Either way you still have no idea of the range or the damage or weather it is aoe or not...

first look I thought it would shoot acid out its barrels, it should have abilities underground since this will be the 4th unit to have burrowed skills, maybe adding in something with creep with the acid? like like slows down enemy units while on creep or hurts them if their near this new "Lurker"
or go in siege mode and just rains acid on enemies

looks like a lurker, but considering that Blizz has said that they do not like the corruptor this may be another form of GtA from Zerg (along with hydra, queen, spore and infestor/Infested Terran). Would really love a lurker as it could make for easier ways to hole/defend fortified positions vs Protoss.
Also, it could be this: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=153275 You gotta admit, the top part is part of a hydra....

I actually hope this is the roach replacement. Zerg having a tier 1, 145 hp ultra tanky unit never made any sense to me (kinda like marauders never made sense for terran). I'm hoping the little "opening" on its top shell is just an opening for its head, not a bombadier cannon or whatever. Hopefully they turn the roach into some sort of semi expensive (costs >100 gas) tier 2 burrowed harassment unit that does low damage, but is very hard to kill and can constantly burrow and regenerate.

I'm thinking this is the siege unit and a hydra morph is likely based on head shape. Notice the hole pointed it out on my twitter here link to twitter photo

Reaver pretty much shot banelings lol. As long as attack is slow and avoidable it's cool.
