having to load a different unit just to shoot that unit seems a bit weird for SC. If you can just produce baneling shots within the unit like you did with scarabs for the reaver then I could see it.
Hydra comparison is very compelling, believing right now it is an upgrade for the hydra. I think it makes sense to, hydra transition at T2 will allow for a T2.5 unit to be upgraded prior to hive tech maybe? Also gives the Hydra much more interesting dynamics then it currently has and fills the historical role of having a transition unit from BW.

Overall, I think it makes sense as a mutated roach.
Someone already pointed out that from the angle you are viewing it they are the same claws, so I doubt they are going to be non-symmetrical front claws.
the back could also be a creep tumor for mobile creep spread which would be really cool too
I do not think that is actually a cannon, it looks more like two layers of shell. If it is a cannon, it is quite flat, like it would be if it shot disks or something.
Also, obviously what you listed as a penis is a hind leg. We just don't see the other hind leg because it's on the other side of the unit. You were most likely joking though.
Looks like a unit that attacks while burrowed, but maybe it's still visible while burrowed, hence the shell-like thing on it's back. As day 9 said in a D9D, zerg has a lack of a space controling unit, that escencially gives the option of, like a siege tank, of saying "Nope, you can't go there".
Personally, I'd of liked to see an evolution for the mutalisk into a BW mutalisk
ok i think theres a few ways it could possibly attack: 1: just bursts out a shitton of green goo in splash damage from the backcannon 2: shoots out some kind of green goo bombs, could be some sort of baneling attacks but i doubt you will need to load up banelings in it lol 3: maybe some awesome melee attack with its huge "arms" 4: shoots up spikes from the ground like the lurker
A good way to throw people off when releasing a silhouette like this is to play off peoples assumptions, have something resembling mandibles and put it in the front, the natural conclusion is that its the face... looking closely at the silhouette I cant help but think that blizzard is playing a trick on us and is in fact displaying a lurker from behind.

People call it a siege unit but it's more like a very positional melee unit. To attack with lurkers you had to move up pretty close and burrow, giving the defending player a chance to run away or focus fire them down.)
explain why u think that? a sige range unit for zerg can be "zergy" easily depending on design. have u ever seen the movie starship troopers? i often compare zerg to "the bugs" in that movie. in that movie they had some kind of tank like beatle that could launch acidic blobs at extremly long ranges.
if they make the siege unit for zerg a organic slow walking mobile unit then i can easily see it working.

People would of said the same thing about the colossus before release if they just gave us an outline. "@anyone who thinks lasers that can shoot up to range 9 and do aoe damage from this unit is dumb". The fact is though, that you can balance almost anything with the right modifications to stats...
