So narrow-minded. Especially considering that IPL is looking to expand to various potential ESPORTS markets, LoL being one of them.

There are a lot better ways of doing that than the way they did it.
until first semi final: 9.5/10 one of the best tournaments ever. aside the technical SNAFU on day 2, the production qualtity was fantastic. that's how e-sport has to be presented. great casters, great players, great content, great artwork - even if I was looking for something to complain, there is hardly anything. I can't wait for the next IPL!
after first semi: DSQ i know the schedule was planned that way from the beginning, but that was just plain stupid. no need for details, you know how hard you screwed up here.

You can't put a game of golf before the 4th quarter of the super bowl. People will hate you and golf. That's not expanding to anything, that is just trolling.
Terrific job overall. By far the best produced SC2 event so far, including the Korean events. The only suggestion I would make is more balance with the casters. There was no analyst in the Catspajamas'Doa pairing.
And regardless of the caster level, having a separate observer would've been helpful.

Put it in another stream then. Not everybody wants to watch that shit
I wouldn't have complained about the LoL so much if it were on the schedule. I honestly had no idea what was going on towards the finals. LoL came as a suprise.

It was afaik on schedule, it was still total shit :/ Overall though awesome tourney, but yer :/
Edit: And yer if Apollo reads this, you did fantastic on this event. Wasn't really a fan, but you did awesomeI(and well I'm already a fan of dj so yer ).
i tried to watch as much as possible. The problem is still the time difference... Stream starting at 4PM here in belgium, couldn't really watch the end of the games because it was too late...
Regarding the replays, i'd love to have them uploaded as fast as ESL does for the IEM (within the 30 minutes) especially when we have epic games such as Kiwi vs stephano...
Fortunatly, millenium released the replays quickly and we can aldready find some VODs
Exceptionnal perfomance from Stephano, he gave us the most epic game of the event, he did destroy all the koreans and won the event. He trolled everyone during the inteview <3

10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Round 2 (Remaining 3 series, hourly) 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Quarterfinals (4 series total, hourly) 5:00 pm: Semi-Final Series 1 (best of 5!) 6pm - 7pm: League of Legends Finals 8:30 pm: Semi-Final Series 2 (best of 5!) 10.00 pm: Grand Finals (best of 7!) 10pm - 11pm: Closing Ceremony for SCII and LoL
I really like your idea for the 2nd table with pros and another personality there. That would be very interesting to have them comment on the match or just chat.
My things I would improve are: 1) Venue that allows younger people will give IPL bigger crowds 2) Ending ceremony was a bit meh. I love the GSL ones with confetti and the epic music personally. 3) Pool play should give the top players a bye I think to the 2nd round.
Great event overall. Loved your casters. Loved the venue's look and the setup was great. Everything was done amazingly in general.
I gave it an 8, for doing the best they could do under the circumstances (net problems), production quality and overall entertainment value.
The only negative for me was(and worth -2!) :
Moving the LoL finals to the SC2 venue, when they had their own stream and location set up makes no sense to me. It feels like LoL was being forced on the SC2 crowd, pretty aggressive advertising right there... I assume it was part of the sponsorship deal with RIOT. Though I don't think it was beneficial for either party (IGN or RIOT). Reportedly the stream numbers dropped dramatically as well, from 65k down to 20k. I realize it was all pre-planned and everything, but that doesn't change the fact that it was a silly plan.
Any other qualms I had were personal preference (finals casters), but you can never please everyone, I'm sure even Tastosis has haters...
Apologies if I'm wrong about the LoL part, let me know if I am!
Edit : My post looks a bit negative, for the record : I didn't list all the positives, because the event overall was so good it'd take too long to list everything . My favorite was the player panels though if I had to pick one, more of this please!
First of all thanks to all the staff of IPL! They event overall was great and you guys clearly tried to deliver the best product possible. I liked how you took care of the little things like providing handwarmer for the players and trying to keep the downtimes for the viewers to a minimum. Also the information politic during day 2 was great compared to other events.
As I feel such threads should help you guys to even further improve for the next event, I think there are two things you could improve on / handle better next time.
1. Casters: I really liked the dApollo/DJWheat-Combo, but the other two were quite inferior in comparison. Just look at dApollo, he plays Sc2 at a high level plus (and this is the important part I guess) he really puts effort into this and tries to inform himself about every player that's in the tournament beforehand. It's just unprofessional if for example Doa admits he doesn't know much about Stephano when there was so much hype for him coming into this event. Also the obsing on some of the matches was pretty bad, missing many drops and sometimes even major battles. I do understand that casting+obsing at the same time can be hard, but if they can't handle it, just use another person that only focuses on obsing like GSL does.
2. LoL killing esports. RIOT is a main sponsor of IPL so I can understand the reasoning in the first place, but I really think you didn't think about how disappointing this would be for all your EU fans. The argument that the viewers should watch LoL to support esports is frankly just stupid. They don't pause the superbowl 2 minutes before the end and show a whole game of soccer in order to make soccer more popular in the US either (support sports!!). I was really disappointed last night and reading the LR-thread many people felt the same way. Also you don't do LoL any favor there. LoL could be a great game to watch (which it's not) and still people would hate on it because they missed the finals because of this.

Why do you specify EU fans? That seems silly to me.
Doa spends his time casting the GSL. He spends his time researching their builds, their players, and sees the interactions they have with foreign tournaments. He came over here with a good knowledge of builds and low player knowledge. The 2nd one can be learned very fast as he casts. Tastosis doesn't know all the players they cast in MLG everytime. Would you make this same comment for them?
+lani, allyn and megumi. i may or may not have fallen slightly in love with lani over the course of ipl3 she was so endearing and entertaining when going around. megumi and allyn did some great more serious interviews as well, it was great to hear stuff about gsl 2012 and TSL4.
+Cats PJs. i tend to not talk about casters but for some reason i'd always presumed he would be a terrible caster; i was very wrong and he formed a nice partnership with doa
+production. seeing close ups of the players while playing adds lots to the game and was great
+money. always nice to see a good size prize pool
+downtime. aside from technical difficulties and LoL there were almost none which is fantastic.
+anna and rachel. some people have criticised them but i thought they both were excellent
+live on three and the Q&A panels.
+the stream quality. looked excellent almost all of the time
-the audience. i'm not sure what went wrong here but the audience for the first two days was awful and never quite managed to fill the venue. maybe it was the 21 and over thing maybe not.
-the structure of the tournament. this was not a major negative but groups mattered too little in the tournament and a losers bracket would have perhaps been desirable.
-just a few very minor things. the scoreboard was hard to read and sometimes updated late. music coming on loudly and at odd times (eg during the awards ceremony).
-LoL. i understand it will have been part of the sponsorship and i can't complain for that but it can't be seen as anything other than a negative
-missing some championship matches. maybe the second stream could have been used for these at some point or perhaps some could've been played the day before but more being casted would have been nice. perhaps missing them was merely because of the delays?
all in all excellent. i would say the second best non korean lan to date and easily the best production quality overall.
