I recently tried 9 days to play more than 10 hours a day and i played for 8 days a net gaming time of (thanks to sc2 gears) 6 hours 20 minutes average including practice games with my terran partner (i am zerg) memphis and 1v1 ladders and tourneys. It makes 32 games (since zerg and probably i am more vulnerable to early game aggression) average. One thing i can say is give more breaks, sc1 and sc2 korean players even give more breaks, maybe you can play 8 hours but do it like 3-3-2. For me things didnt go well, i only got round 6 in GO4sc2 beating notables like only ESC.Jaxx.. And please dont forget that only 2 weeks training mayb would not put you ahead of all europe because all european progamers also playing in a such schedule. Think about jinro playing 12 hours for 3-4 months and sometimes he plays not very good in televised games, sometimes he plays like a god (vs fruitdealer, such multipronged attacks). I haven't read the name of the topic starter first... if you can afford the time to prac at least 8 hours per day... why not. some ppl will judge you irl, saying "find a gf" , "get a job" but it's only a matter of time before everyone understands that you can be a high-earner in sc2. gl hf. i like serbia , got one friend from there.

What made Djokovic good this year? He specifically said - his confidence in himself improved greatly after the Davis Cup victory in 2010, and this followed through into his practice schedule. Likewise, you must have confidence and a practice plan, and in no time you will be smashing Federers and Nadals like Djokovic. Good luck mate! Edit: The other thing you can do is watch Strelok's ambitious terran video about a hundred times. Who cares that it's Strelok, far out, that accent and sheer strength of will makes me want to go pro.

Sorry for this I am sure many have repeated it, I've played many years at very high level in several different games - one thing I've noticed There is a world of difference between Playing the game and Practicing the game. Practice as we know is the hard one, winning or losing doesn't matter, its the fine-tuning, the analysis of each replay, e.g. the same map against the same opponent over and over, tweaking a certain strategy. If you can find practice partners at a high enough skill level who are interested in this tough regimen then its good (simulating what they do in team-houses in Korea) Playing the game is "relax" time, the ladder. I know we all know this but just to repeat, Koreans are better because they do more of the first one, to a higher harder more grueling level. For motivation compare yourself a few weeks ago with how you are getting with the constant 8 hour practice. The old you vs the new you Again sorry for all these cliches, but it holds true in any sport or game. Practice, analyze, improve!
