Thankfully, I made about $1500 yesterday with my starter players in the Wood Team League, So i've got a bit of a bankroll to prop me up whilst i get his Endurance (0.7) up to a stage where he can compete. They guy above your initial post paid only 10 bucks and I confused you two, nearly droped from my chair... I guess 500 is still a good deal if you can manage to survive till he starts to bring home the big money.

I bought him from the Market for 1$ where not every potential player gets bid for 500+ TT
His Salary is only 10$ a day. A real bargain if you ask me.
Market is just way better than Free Agent.

My best 3 or 4 players all seem to top out around 2300 ELO. Its clear that if you have that 1 player that is 2500 that can win you LANs reliably you have a huge head start in the game.
It's a great game but so much of it really depends on whether you get lucky with your first players or not. It must really suck for the people who get all crap players at the start.
My suggestion: You can mulligan your starting list of applicants 2 or 3 times, gives people a better chance to be on even footing with everyone else.

All 4 of my starting players have a 2000 ELO
This seems like it would be crazy addictive though... not sure if its a good thing

They always start with 2000, play 10-20 tournaments to see what their real ELO is.
My best player from the beginning is at 1850 :/ Got some talents so...
Edit: Some player with 4,4 macro just doubled the supply of my 5.1 macro player by the 3 minute mark... This game is great but I do think it needs some fine adjustments 
My player was a bit tired though (but not asleep :/ ), so that's probably the reason.

It seems so luck based. You just need to have alot of luck to get a great player at the start. If you don't have one, its so hard to get one.

finally had a good player of mine go on a shitty streak, qualify for the Baddie cup thing and win! $50 in the bank! (well only 13 for the team, but 88 in sponsor bonus!)
too bad his ELO was raised too high to compete again by winning it :D

I won nothing yesturday, no luck. Today bought some players trying to go bankrupt and got 1st in clanwar tourney twice and a couple 4ths, and a couple 1sts in the crying cup. Worked out nice.

I bought my ace 2 days ago with a little bit of help from the server :D I was having a bidding war for one protoss and the price was already over 300. Then new protoss which was better than the previous one appeared at the bottom of the list and i immediately made a bid of 170 for it. Then server started to lag and i got it! 2550 ELO atm and i don't know what would i do without him.
