Can someone give me a few tips on this game? I never liked football manager, but since this is a SC2 manager i really want to learn.

Right now my team has 4 players, (P)OtherLittle, (T)knOTTIme, (Z)insTRUmeNthAt and (T)dIsgUStbodY.

If you look at their game scores, they lose A LOT, I try to set the practice focus to the areas that they are weak at, and for strategy I have all of them using the default Balance since i dont know what to change. Right now I have $662 on the bank, but I dont know how to spend it. Any suggestions?

Started yesterday and i'm a complete noob... Tourneys i have 55/247 (22.3%) currently and team games i have... wait for it... 2/31 (6.5%) !!! Obviously i'm doing something very wrong :/

Will read this thread later but it's gonna take some time :D

Could anyone give me some basic advices like "things you absolutely have to do" or "things you should never do" ?

well, i started to look at the "replays" and adjusted to the time i was attacked etc... basically prefer "defend" and bring in 2-5 "attacks" and 2-5 "ai" depending on my strat

After that I started to add/duplicate new strats and tweaked them a little.

Furthermore u can watch the replays of your opponents and adjust to that if the do the same strat every time (attack at X, DTs/Drops) and then you can specifically counter that strat.

tips

High Macro and High vX are the keys. However 10 macro and 0 mico/multi isn't good.

The best players are 8.5+ macro and 6-7 in multi/micro/vX

You need at least 4 endurance to participate in individual tournaments, make sure you give your players rest.

The higher the dedication, the faster they gain skill from training, the older they are the faster they lose skill. High teamwork makes for a good practice partner. If you want to train macro is someone, find a pratice partner wih high teamwork and high macro.

Do not overpay on the free agent market thinking, yeah he'll win me tournaments and I'll stay alive that way.

There is a hidden attribute of talent, nobody can see talent but it is pretty obvious after 500 games which players have it.

Good Luck.

bought 4 streamers, im not up to 91st percentile of popularity!

and i just gotta keep training my dudes, because i never get to the 'cash zone' of the tournaments..

also, anyone knows when the 'day' ends on the game? like, when do i get money for merchandising and stuff

Working as intended need to be 75th percentile in ELO to level up unfortunately. I think it's a rather poor restriction for newer players as if they have one guy thats really bad they have to release him to have a chance at restoring their ELO but that uses up a lot of their money.

Also WTF is with that octopus face league icon when you click debt lol. The banks are controlled by horrifying aliens :O.

But what about the strategies ? How do you decide which strategy you will use in a team match or in a 1v1 tourney ? Do you have to mix it up or always play the same style ?

Are the basic strategies good or do you HAVE TO custom them ?

I think for most new people trying to tweak their own strats will just make them get owned harder. I'd reccommend just using the basic or balanced ones until you get a better understanding of the game / stats and then maybe check out the hall of fame players see what their stats are and what strats they use. Most of the top players use the same strat every game.

A Balanced strategy will do you just fine until 2200+ ELO when you can TWEAK your strategy slightly to take advantage of your player/race. I've only slightly tweaked mine and its doing me well against all races. (My ace has won almost 40k in prize money.) So you do not need to customize every game.

do training partners have any impact on stats? i set their trainingpartners depending on their weak matchup, they still lose in it (not talking about practice focus)

After 2 days I finally managed to get into level 2 >.>
Had 5 players all at 1800 who dragged my ELO just below promotion by 1-10 rating.
Kicked 3 out which costed me 1k or so >.>
Thank god I made 2.2k$ from tourneys/merch so now I still have 1.2k left to spent.

Income is at 400 daily from sponsorship which is the amount my daily team salary is :D

Damn, I'm so sad. My winrate dropped from 57 to 51 now, and my average elo from way over 2150 to 2000.

Wow strategies can make miracles.
Just had a 7v7 where my starter a 2020 ELO player won against a 2470 ELO in a PvP.

I guess PvP is volatile in sc2manager as well xD

so MANY THINGS to learn. OH god. I started this at 9AM, and now it's already 6PM, and I'm not really sure I know all about this game yet. I mean that's not a bad thing. Just so much stuff. xD
