Also, can we please STOP with the whole, "NASL was a crappy tournament" nonsense? 1) In this situation, it really doesn't matter. 2) It didn't seem that crappy when Koreans were fighting to get qualified, taking up coveted spots. It still doesn't seem crappy when some Koreans are STILL fighting to be in it, and many players are looking at the Korean pull-out as a great opportunity to get in. 3) Xeris said Korean vs Korean can be played on Korean server. Also, from NASL.tv in the TIG thread: The schedule for Season 2 was even slightly adjusted to make it more bearable for Korean players, with games starting at 2am KST (which we gathered from talking to some Korean players, was a more reasonable time). So basically the two main complaints Koreans had were addressed in Season 2. 4) They were catered to more than any other group at the finals, with their flights and hotel rooms being booked, being shuttled, being provided a translator... Seriously, that's pretty good service. I don't see what more would be required. And I do think asking for anything more does come off as being overly-demanding...

I posted several threads ago that there's no way that NASL would proceed to filming if there wasn't some sort of agreement between the players, and that the players and SC2Con had to be in violation of some kind of contract. A bunch of people didn't seem to want to believe that, but I am glad the truth has come out. The information about the contracts was posted in a separate thread after the fact. Doesn't change the fact that contract breach is wrong though.

Given that they were already beginning to film, it's a simple practice of logic to deduce that, in fact, they had signed their contracts. No, I just didn't/wouldn't make the leap that what they're filming is matches. In fact, what was there last season, a two day or three day grace period between games played / aired? It doesn't even say on their webpage when season 2 starts. Did the Koreans participate in matches already?

Oh I'm just taking a moment to brag that's all. ![]() But no, originally, I knew there had to be some kind of agreement. I really couldn't picture a tournament like NASL proceeding without some kind of promise from the Korean management amidst possible negotiations. It wouldn't make very much sense. I see that SC2Con has yet to respond. Kind of strange, I would have expected a response by now. I wonder if they are just going to stay silent on the issue...which often times isn't a good sign. You usually stay silent only if you have nothing good to say.

Doesn't change the fact that indeed it was, as later information makes clear lol.

I hope they get Dimaga, Destiny, Jinro, and Huk. I think they would make good replacements for Koreans.

Lol, how hilarious would it be if they just threw a big middle finger at SC2con and invited a dozen other non SC2con Koreans and gave them free Flight and rooming.

Well, with the money they would have spent on 15 SC2Con players...they could easily cover all expenses for 10 new players to come. Just saying. ![]()

Honestly though there's really no point for the Koreans to say anything further. All it'll do is escalate drama into he said she said blahblahblah. Some Koreans pulled out, they're clearly not gonna be in Season 2 & no amount of who's right or wrong is going to change that at this point. Instead of burning bridges trashing each other over the internet in aggressive responses it's probably best to just stfu and let it pass.

That made me chuckle lol And just to clarify my position on this whole thing, I have NOTHING against the Korean players, who IMO were put into a very difficult position by their team/managers/coaches. I firmly believe that the majority of them wanted to play in NASL. Yes I know that the SC2Com has players in it, I just think this was a question of them having to toe the company line, so to speak. My main gripe is with the committee itself and not for their reasons of pulling out, but for how they went about it and their timing. PS and looking at the ban list, alot of those names were banned after they made replies to my posts. Hmm, that guy must have had a crush on me. Understandable, he's only human after all lol

Nothing said, but I would assume that the quickest way would be that they just invite down the ranking for the qualifiers. They could redo qualifiers but I'm not certain that is fair for the people who are sitting out of contention because one of these players knocked them out. Of course, it might be more fair since the qualifier field won't have been tainted by Koreans knocking however they meet out left and right regardless of how good they are in comparison to NA/EU players. *shrug*

While it's actually obvious that not everything was "squared away", the fact that they had begun filming is enough information to piece together that the Koreans had, at the very least, dealt with all of the required paperwork. Now, I'll grant that it wouldn't be obvious to anyone who wasn't aware of the debacle of the Season 1 registrations. In the future I'll be more mindful of the fact that not everyone has knowledge of the background information required to make the same logical assumptions that I found easy to make based on the information provided in the OP.

Great idea for a counter-troll. On a side note, it's funny to see a lot of "understanding" from some posters for the Korean side, their travel money issues, few sponsorships etc etc, but just about zero of that same "understanding" when it comes to the fact that NASL is a new venture with very little experience and stability, being expected to dish out these accomodations for KR players as if NASL were GOMTV.
