We are lucky to have great new recruits Masters + and we growing extremely fast. We hope to get even better and send our players to bigger events. I have tons of examples....For ex:myself. I used to be a top BW player in LatinAmerica, but a girl in SC is not popular as you might think. Same goes in CS, CoD and Quake. As a retired pro player, I like to help these girls to get out there and show their skills to the world. Nothing against guys, I had awesome teammates previously but I have to say, guys got it easy. They don't get harass when people find out you are a boy. It is getting better .....but still pretty hostile (Of course, there are always exceptions and guys never troll IRL...proven fact). So please stop worrying about Karen's personal life and focus on making this community more female friendly. Less trolling more playing imo GL HF! Any post attacking Karen's personal life will be consider as direct harassment and we will take of this the same way Slayers did. I hope this stops now. We are not advertising that we are girls, we are advertising that girls do play games and we can be pretty good at it. That said, We are happy to accept show case matches any time. ![]() GL HF! Especially if you got that... manly edge.. Congrats on riding the storm. A historical thread indeed, best of luck, cultivate some players! :D edit: played vs that iron lady GM player im sure of it. going to recruit?

I'm not surprised there's at least one female player potential. But you have to show your potential, otherwise no one will ever know. I watch a lot of StarCraft II tournaments and streams and I've never seen/even heard of a female player who could be competitive with other known players. Though I will admit ESL is one of the leagues I've seen the least games from. Also, playing in a separate league for women, which is what Iron Lady seems to be, is not a very good way to become known. If she's good enough to compete in the non-restricted leagues why play in Iron Lady? Unless she's not interested in professional play, which only leads to the current situation of no female players on known teams. Anyway, I got sidetracked by other shit while writing this post so I'm gonna end it here.

In the fighting game scene there are multiple extremely high profile people that were under the same situation + Show Spoiler [ you're looking at two former guys] + ![]() One of them is a photographer for large events in the fighting game scene and the other is a model and on television all the time in Japan and is seen as a really big celebrity-status person in Japan. She also fucking kicks ass at street fighter. Damn, I still have a hard time believing those two women or whatever the politically correct term it is used to be dudes. 0_0 Seriously, as a guy, that made me a little confused lol. I was like "hmm this girl is pretty cute, wait...*reads title* these two used to be guys?!?! *inception mind blown*" But in all seriousness, I don't see the reasoning to create a second account trying to show that Karen is a guy. Even if I might not agree or am totally comfortable with the idea of transgender, the person clearly identifies himself or herself as a female. Besides, the person who made an account was a women who wants to make it known to everyone because she is trying to protect "innocent females from possibly getting taken advantage of/tricked/abused by a guy/guys". Seriously? If anything, I find that a bit more ridiculous. Excuse if i'm not exactly politically correct, and I understand that there are women who have had bad experiences with men in the past, but I find that generalization incredibly insulting. Hey, I'm a guy and I support these all-girl teams. It's great for e-sports if the fairer sex starts getting more involved in games. But, to go out of your way, using this "I-hate-all-men" bashing mentality is, I don't know how else to phrase it, retarded and very narrow-minded. Clearly, the team members have no problem with Karen and I doubt she poses any threat to him as a former man. And yes I'm aware that there are many trolls on the internet and that there are many immoral and bad guys in the world, but seriously that's so cynical and the logic is completely out of touch with reality to go to such extent with your "detective work" as if you're doing everyone a favor by revealing the hidden evil plot of some perverted sexual predator. Please. Now, back to the topic of the thread, I might not entirely agree with the concept of a girl-only team because of the double-standard exists that if there was a male-only team where they would not let a player join because she was a girl, there would be a total uproar. However, I am aware that it is almost necessary due to the way things are. I guess the best we can hope for is in the future, things will come to a point where it's not surprising to find girl gamers or girls getting trolled by guys because of their gender. I wish the team best of luck in their endeavors. Despite what I just said above, it is definitely a good thing for the community at least as of right now, as esports is a growing scene and girls are a very small minority in the esports scene right now.

Why is it that as nerds we are generally shunned or misunderstood by the general public, yet will do the same (or at least poke fun at) groups that are similar to us? In this case the idea of transgengers. I personally, might find changing sexes extreme, for me, but that doesn't mean someone else didn't try to be happy by way of going that route. And in the end, we all just want to be happy. Whether it's playing video games, changing sexes or both. Let people be happy and support that ideal. Women (formerly men or otherwise) in gaming can only draw more women and broaden the stigmatic social nature of video gaming.

While the person who has done this digging probably had bad intentions, we imagine a Starcraft II Community that supports people no matter who they are or what life choices they have made. Who are we as fellow humans to pass judgement on one another. Fem-FX's existence is a celebration of the diversity of the Starcraft II community. Therefore, it is non-sensical to think that a member's difference from what is regarded as the norm is at all a drawback to the organization. More teams and organizations should join Fem-Fx and Infinity in encouraging players from GLTBQ backgrounds to get involved in the game and the community. To attack these people is to attack the Starcraft II Community as a whole. Those who choose to discriminate against people in their own community should be well aware that they are on the wrong side of history. Sincerely, The Infinity Gaming Community

You are not worth Karen's little finger. I have been personally attacked through bnet PMs by your friends before for supporting Karen, and I can just repeat what I told these people back then. Karen is a good friend, a great person, and I'm very glad to have met her. I don't understand why her personal life is any business of anybody else's. The only thing you achieved by your nasty posts is to finally prove everyone what a person without any moral or ethical values you are (and maybe provide some TL trolls with some more food, not that they needed any).

Seriously, since when people start digging into people's personal lives to demote them in front of the whole community? It's just disgusting to see and this is exactly that part of community I'm not proud of. Good luck girls, don't let morons to deter you from playing/loving the game. ![]()

I followed the BW community really closely, though learning about other countries' best players was tougher back then (all I knew about Japan's SC scene was "LOL, they suck.") I'm definitely not calling you out, but honestly I'd be damn interested in what your accomplishments were. WGT/PGT/ICCUP ranking, tourneys, WCG, clan wars, etc... GLHF!!! Also - Personal lives are irrelevent to the issue as long as the team accepts its members then it works.

Women are a minority in gaming and of course they want a platform with like minded people. When/if there is a 1million$ tournament with only females, with no male equivela t then there would be a reason to be concerned about separating gender.
