Because Crevasse and Terminus are too big and too difficult for bronze league players. And this game is all about bronze, as you know.

Please...give us some 2 player spawn maps, if "variety" is what Blizzard is aiming for.

OK... this comments about Tel'darim and Metal being Zerg favored "at the highest levels of play" can only mean they don't look at MLG,GSL... stats but at Master Leaguers. Which is bullshit because I am in Master League and the niveau is like... not even kindergarden compared to prolevel, which simply means Masterleague stats (and even GM stats!) don't have anything to do with balancing, but with players simply being horrible...

And once again... Most of those new maps suck already. I wish they would put in some better maps, but zergs and protoss will once again have only one playstyle in vT: turtle and overcompensate.
Counterattacking? Hell no we don't want that!
Mindgames? No no no!
Macro games? Are you out of your mind?

Pretty sure you're the guy i saw earlier in the thread saying that people were reading the blizzard quote incorrectly when you were exactly wrong about it. I wouldnt argue logic when you can barely read.

Slag pits and delta were a good choice to remove. But metalopolis? That was a great map, atleast just edit it for no close spawns plawks

I was kind of expecting Metalopolis to be removed because Abyssal Caverns seems to have a similar layout. The 4 bases with naturals are similar, the thirds in between each side are on low ground instead of high ground, and the golds in the middle are on low ground instead of high ground, as well as rotated 90 degrees. Other than that, it's similar, just with a different tileset.

Am I the only person that is HAPPY that Meta is gone? And upset that XNC didnt go with it? Obviously we need some non-four player maps in the pool but XNC is SOOO overplayed just like Meta

UGH! It's always carrot and stick with Blizzard and their map rotations... They're taking out Slag, DQ, which is great!

I'll really miss Scrap Station and Metalopolis. ( They've been with us for so long, though... maybe it's for the better in terms of evolving gameplay? Who knows. I don't, that's for sure.

Here's to something new!

Thank god they're taking out scrap station and metalopolis.
I never liked scrap station, and always vetoed metalopolis because of the close position.

Meta won't be missed at all as far as i'm concerned.
When you play the game of drones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground. Huge IMLosirA fan.

You should play the new maps in custom games, hihi. So fun. The first map doesn't have a natural, it's easier to take the gold than anything else, but it's still hard as fuck. So the early game is VERY heavily favored towards Zerg, but if you actually somehow manage to split the map, zerg wont have a chance, because of the chokes and stuff in the middle. Most idiotic map ever used.

Two of the other maps can be good, but is too dependant on spawns, if it's "close" it's very imbalanced, where as cross is quite nice.

The last map is pretty good imo, looks cool as well. Has the same feel as alot of the gsl maps with easy 3 bases, but a bit more difficult forth

well meta and xnc aren't the best maps in season 2 pool but compared to the other bs they are great

Happy they removed Slag, Delta and Scrap seeing as I had 2/3 of those vetoed anyway. Idk why they are removing Metalop though, I love that map even though I win 90% of close pos and lose 90 of cross (terran :p). Haven't even looked at the new maps so yeah will probably custom on them for a while more fun than ladder anyway
