How does blizzard not think that there is something wrong if zerg has 60% win rate even with close positions. Underlying reasons like better players or more abusive players chose to veto meta since they want to abuse other retarded maps instead, leaving behind all those players who are still trying to improve their play on a macro map. That's kind of a small sample size though, if you go to International TLPD and check the stats for Metalopolis 1.1 you come away with:

TvZ: 137-159 (46.3%)
ZvP: 119-102 (53.8%)
PvT: 97-111 (46.6%)

Which is more in line with what they are saying.

On top of that you can't just look at stats and say that's the way it is because the stats say so. Unless of course you believe Crossfire SE is a great Zerg map and terrible map for Terran. If you are of that opinion I can see where you are coming from but it seems that most people believe it is the opposite.

I don't really get the argument of being too predictable when close-spawns are disabled? It's still not as predictable as 2-player maps, and you'd be silly to argue they don't deserve a spot. I can't comment on balance as I'm not a top player, but I hadn't really heard of any balance whine. Damn.

Oh guys, on the N. Crypts map, the ledge over the third has been reduced, so elevators and stuff won't be as strong and only able to hit the extractor...unless you use a Siege Tank.

meta is probably gonna take the same time off that shakuras plat did all though it may end up going another season because of the length of its life on ladder as is.
I want meta back >_< and it hasnt even left yet
also what is this omega sector map that just got removed from 2v2 i dont believe i ever seen it?

i'm glad metalopolis is gone. as much as the map is loved, i don't want the competitive map pool to turn out like warcraft 3 where the same maps keep getting played over and over year on in.

Can someone please enlighten noobie me? Smaller maps with short rush distances tend to favor terran while bigger maps tend to be more balanced(That's why tournament maps are not like the tiny ones we have in our ladder pool). Some claim that distances can be negated by protoss players because they can simply warp troops in with pylons. Is there even such a thing as a zerg favoured map?

Generally a large map with many easy to take and defend expansions.

Since the new blizz maps last season were horrible (Slag, Backwater, Typhon), I'm afraid of what the new maps this season will be like...

Not gonna judge about new maps too soon but why oh why are they not taking Crevasse and Terminus in the mappool?

They are AWESOME maps and still Blizzard is so ignorant to not put them in. -__-

But hey,they took out crap station and slag pits AND Delta Quadrant,it's a step in the right direction.
if i'am sad i stop being sad and play starcraft 2 instead.True Story.

Because Crevasse and Terminus are too big and too difficult for bronze league players. And this game is all about bronze, as you know.
