As a Terran Metalopolis was a really hard map for me against Zerg, I am going to miss the ninja "Gold Float" in the beginning though ... was always a fun strat.
the problem with 2 player maps is it promotes coin flippy things in matches up like zvz and zvg
tiny rush distances on close spawn some maps doesnt help either but oh well, atleast blizzard is half way there x)

Also look at the players, most of the players I see are known names so again dunno what else you are looking for, but if you prefer blizzards ladder rankings then tournaments then lol.

These map pool changes are so. fucking. AWESOME! As a Zerg player, I feel like almost none of the maps are geared toward me, it's simply a matter of "damn, I hope this map isn't another map that can be abused and is no fun to play on too".
They literally just made Zerg balanced and fine overnight. Removing those ridiculous broken maps for ZvT (Scrap Station with a ridiculous third and tight chokes, Delta Quadrant rofl), Slag Pits is a joke for ZvX. It's like they took all my veto suggestions, and got rid of those maps. Metal and ST close spawn is pretty bad, I liked Metal but close spawn made that map so broken. ST is pretty bad ZvP though ;/

Each new season they remove an additional 2 player map and replace it with a 4 player map. I don't care what map i play on, one of my favorites was MLG metalopolis as a terran vs zerg. So evidently I was really liking a 40% terran map that was changed to slightly favor zerg even more (rank 1 masters)

It is laughable and disturbing that they had a map pool that favours short games for the first year of the game's release, then call it overbalance when taldarim appears zerg favoured. Most zerg players spent a year playing one macro oriented style while most terran and protoss players spent a year playing a relatively low base count style, and they don't see why their largest map seems zerg favoured? It should be, if you consider playstyle trends. If every map were as large for a year from the beginning of the game, I'm not so sure taldarim would be 60% zerg favoured. If every large map appears zerg favoured after everyone on ladder plays styles suited to larger maps, the solution is tweaking zerg, not making smaller maps.

Travis, I brought this up earlier, but why can't blizzard reach out to the community for maps? I personally don't have a particularly nuanced opinion on the new versus old map pool, being neither good enough to tell the difference nor having access to the statistics. But wouldn't having the community (whether that be TL, or just general Battle Net) submitting and voting on maps help in terms of making people happy and choosing cool maps? In what way does it make sense for Blizzard to do this themselves when we lack the information they have for the maps they pick?

Where else would it be then? If its tournament play, then they are lying their asses off. And point being ladder is a bad place to get statistics never said it favored zerg, just said it would include close positions. So lets say hypothetically it was a 60% win rate for zerg with close positions, without it lets say it would rise to 80%. That would be good to know if it were somehow like that even though its not even close.
