Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.
Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

Juan calling someone a 'fag' is inexcusable (it offends my leftist sensibilities, as well) and if he had been told not to play he shouldn't have played.
I was contacted on Friday night (PST) by Kelly Milkies about the event and I talked to Juan shortly after finding out the whole story. The following day Dox contacted me. I apologized to him then for the grief Juan had caused.
I'm hoping the conversation the team has had with Juan stuck, and that you won't be seeing anymore antics like this from him. I'm not going into the details of our chat, as I'm of the opinion that those sort talks should remain between the team. As reassuring as I'm sure it would be for those upset to see how we went about dealing with the situation, it's something that I don't think is a appropriate to talk about with the public.
I'm not suggesting that any action should be taken, but I honestly feel that your words have fallen upon deaf ears. Less than 8 hours after your apology/statement, he went ahead and posted this in the thread.

He clearly has no respect for the SEA community, the NA community, or you for that matter. You've been nothing but diplomatic amongst all this, and I'm truly sorry that someone chose to make this a public matter on TeamLiquid.

This seems to be a new, smart and fresh point of view. I think you will have great success exposing your thoughts about this theme, I really encourage you to elaborate.
What forum threads like this amount to is a bunch of people sticking their nose in something that's not really their business when there's no one around to tell them not to. This thread could go on forever if no one locks it. Honestly, if you're someone who wasn't personally involved in the situation, one post stating your opinion is enough. You dont need to make this a personal crusade.

Why? , hrmmm that's a good question. One that would be answered if you took the 5 minutes out of your day to actually read the original post.
i did, why not allow any good player into your tourny?
it doesn't say why its region specific, unless there is a good reason I don't see why there is that restriction
But it's right there in the OP. Whether or not you think it is a good reason is up to you, but it was given.
On July 18 2011 12:25 Dox wrote: Okay so. Hi. I'm Dox/VVoLF/Derek/whatever you want to call me. I'm the one who hosted the tournament. Allow me to give a little background before I respond to the posts below. I'm basically going to repeat what I said on Kelly's stream during the event.
This event was specifically designed to encourage the SEA community to step up their game and embrace the global success of StarCraft 2 competitive eSports. Consider it an investment on my part. I inject money into the community, and the community produces higher quality gamers. Eventually these players will build the skills and confidence they need to represent SEA on the world stage (see: mOOnGLaDe).

??? Seriously? The fact that he is dumping his own money into the tournament in the hope that it brings out good SEA talent is reason enough. It's his money, his tournament, his rules. If it's SEA-specific and MajOr isn't from SEA, then he can't participate. Period. Not sure why you're making excuses for him because you feel the restrictions are silly. It doesn't matter what you think about the tournament restrictions.
This thread is just a public lynch, even tho i don't really agree with major's comportment. Showing it on a public forum just to make drama around a player that already had some dramaesque backstory isn't smart either.
Until there are consequences for these kinds of actions people will continue doing them. Having a stern speaking to is not a consequence. The consequences don't need to be made public but if there are any then that should be mentioned so that people are aware that it's not being swept under a rug otherwise this kind of stuff will happen again and again. Major specifically appears to have a history with this kind of behavoir and likely will continue to do so because he either just doesn't care or hasn't had any real repurcussions.
lol Major can be such a child sometimes, just like in BW, but he is really good ! Although I don't think it's very wise to post this on a public message board, sure he broke the rules but he shouldn't be ridiculed in public like this.
On July 19 2011 00:28 naggerNZ wrote: I'm a SEA player and I couldn't care less. Major has always been somewhat non-chalant about stuff like this, but this in no way affects my opinion of him as a player. This sounds more like a disagreement between him and the organizers than anything else.
I'm pretty sick of so called "high profile" SEA players (such as kelly LOLOLOL) speaking for everyone. If SEA ever has intentions of having a competitive high level scene, turning away top players from other regions will do us no good whatsoever.
Agreed, its a dick move from him, especially to the organiser who seems like a top notch bloke, but its not exactly an affront to the whole server which requires a knee-jerk patriotic response
People have a right to know, therefore this thread should be posted regardless.
The fact that this thread went 60 pages isn't Dox's fault however.
Totally agree, and I hope I didn't imply that I thought the thread or Dox were innappropriate. The post I was agreeing with was in response to SEA as a 'community' being offended and how that is going a bit far. Realistically it is a beef, as the post said, between a player being a bit of a prick and some upstanding organisers.
Of course people should know, I agree with open disclosure I just don't think people should get offended because he called our server shit

Yeah, let's just never talk about misbehavior from 'pro' players. I mean, if they want to use map hacks too, on top of smurfing in tourneys, who are we to judge? Zero accountability, great policy buddy.

I think one pathetic excuse for a progamer is enough for this thread. And Juan already took that spot so you can leave now.
Maybe in the grand scheme of things, this incident is not the Watergate for e-sports, but for the people who put their time/money as a player/host for this event, it's a huge deal to have someone blatantly disrespect the admins and intentionally cheat in a tourney designed to encourage local e-sports.[/QUOTE]

There were plenty, you are just choosing to ignore them. You can probably leave the thread now, since you don't seem to care what's stated in it anyway.
I personally think it's awesome to have an anti-hero like sixjaxMajOr in e-sports. The guy everyone hates to love and loves to hate. He's basically taken IdrA's spot now.
