Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.
Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please. |

At this point the matter should be dropped really. There's nothing further to talk about. Then why are you in the thread? Just to state you are apparently almighty arbiter of determining whether a post on TL should be dropped? To be the voice of common sense. No, you're just here to sit on a high horse and act holier than thou. You aren't a special snowflake by acting apathetic to the 'mob mentality.' It's ironic that you talk about people going on a crusade when you're waving your self righteousness around. If you truly think the topic isn't worth discussing, then don't post in it. Otherwise you're just a sheep who thinks he's better than the other sheep.
Actually this TL thread is pressure, much like how newspapers pressure firms to change their ways. People have the right to "discuss" things, even when people don't understand it. After all, that's why we're here - to understand the situation and then decide to or not to participate in the "shitstorm".
SOmething like that any way lulz.

Lol "waving my self righteousness around." What an exaggeration. Everything I said was very simple and sensible. In a lot of these threads there needs to be the occasional "wait a minute guys" post to show forum-readers that we are in fact sensible. Anyways, I won't continue this argument if you respond, since clearly it isn't on topic. Hopefully teh thread dies soon enough.

This thread isn't making much progress as people keep repeating the same arguments over and over again.
So far we know:
1. sixjaxmajor contacted admins and was explicitly told he was not allowed to participate 5 days before the event 2. enters anyways and gets the boot when trying to bend the rules a day beforehand 3. asks another person to use his account (while streaming, herpderp) 4. hops on an borrowed account and enters the tournament (which is essentially an action which he admits he isn't allowed to play) 5. proceeds to call the admins/organizers names and trolls people for quite awhile following his expulsion from the event when caught in the act
sixjaxmajor fanboy/backers' arguments:
1. rules weren't clear (we've established he was specifically told he was not allowed to participate, this shouldn't be argued anymore) 2. everyone in sea sucks (facepalm) 3. sea cannot grow, they suck compared to everyone else (same as 2) 4. sixjax is good, so we should totally bend the rules for him (lolwat) 5. other foreigners can play too (no they can't, dox told them they couldn't play either)
Anything else is likely just derails of the topic

It is in the first post. Why must we hand feed everyone, they'll never learn.

I see you can't read, it's not your fault, but if you can't read, you shouldn't be dilly-dallying in forums. There's a lot of community centers and social services to help people like you.

This guy is clearly a sneaky rat, some people don't learn, you give them a million chances, but their inflated sense of ego and selfishness can't help it. This asshole is the kind of person who has already convinced himself that he is always right, and when proven wrong, am willing to lie and do whatever it takes (get agitated, bitch, cry) to protect his tiny tiny little bubble of lies he's built around himself.

You guys are taking this way too far....if it had been a different person it would have gotten briefly discussed and that would have been the end of it.

But thats the thing, its not a different person. Its a guy who has repeatedly done stupid shit like this. He needs to learn his lesson sooner than later.

I'd have been more annoyed if it was a more respectable player who should know better (ie: almost anyone from a real team).
For me this is just a nail in the coffin deal.

If Min Chul did this, and not just the smurfing, but abusing the tournament organizers and spitting on the participants/SEA community, I'm pretty sure it would be worse. The thing is, if it were a different person, he would not have done this.

It would have been briefly discussed because any other person would have apologized by now.

Cheating is cheating no matter who it is.
I'm even sure if it was someone with a bigger community involvement (Incontrol for example) it would be even bigger.
Obv if it was a no name player it wouldn't get blown up on TL. But since major is a "professional" his actions need to be treated as such.
Cheat in any other professional sport and get caught, theres never a "get of a jail free pass" (or just saying its not a big deal)

I'm sorry but he didn't cheat. He smurfed, HUGE difference. to cheat is what I would say using a map hack or some sort of hack or stream watching while playing. That is a big deal, playing on a smurf like he did to the SEA community is not as big a deal as you seem to think.
Yes it wasn't smart for him to do it, but its way far away from cheating which is very serious because as far as I know the people he beat was because he was better then him. Why he tried to smurf it was dumb but yeah again not cheating.

Why he tried to smurf it was dumb but yeah again not cheating. People don't mean he cheated literally in starcraft 2 itself. He cheated the tournament and attempted to cheat the organizer out of his money. He broke the rules of the tournament (i.e cheating) not SC2 itself. For example, if someone looked at the replays after their game in GSL, that would be cheating, it's a rule of the tourney.

Juan calling someone a 'fag' is inexcusable (it offends my leftist sensibilities, as well) and if he had been told not to play he shouldn't have played.
I was contacted on Friday night (PST) by Kelly Milkies about the event and I talked to Juan shortly after finding out the whole story. The following day Dox contacted me. I apologized to him then for the grief Juan had caused.
I'm hoping the conversation the team has had with Juan stuck, and that you won't be seeing anymore antics like this from him. I'm not going into the details of our chat, as I'm of the opinion that those sort talks should remain between the team. As reassuring as I'm sure it would be for those upset to see how we went about dealing with the situation, it's something that I don't think is a appropriate to talk about with the public. I'm not suggesting that any action should be taken, but I honestly feel that your words have fallen upon deaf ears. Less than 8 hours after your apology/statement, he went ahead and posted this in the thread. He clearly has no respect for the SEA community, the NA community, or you for that matter. You've been nothing but diplomatic amongst all this, and I'm truly sorry that someone chose to make this a public matter on TeamLiquid.
You 2 should just talk privately and have this thread closed because its going nowhere.

Yes you are right, if it was a different person, someone who had not history/record like this before, then the thread would have ended earlier, given he doesn't lie again in his apology (only to be exposed by deL,) and at least show some respect to the SEA/NA community and sounds sincere.
There is no "too far" for this. Every single thing he did really build up to today's result. Internet is very good at taking notes of one's action and sayings afterall.
