Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.
Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please. |

Yeah, it's not really a big deal, and I'm sure Juan will learn to not do something like this in the future.

He has a long history of doing stuff like this, and it looks so far like its going to continue to be that way, nothing has been said by major or his team otherwise.
In fact, the only things they have said show them not really caring about the whole event.

You're absolutely right.... if it weren't for Major's major attitude problem about the whole thing.

Everyone taking it this far, because its always the same story with Major. Its perfectly true that Dox made a mistake with the rules where it said "everyone with a valid SEA account" and only "SEA citizen" on the TL tracker but besides that, its all about Majors behaviour.
He was told he may not participate and decided to smurf into the tournament and rob other players chances to get further into the competition. He has no respect of SEA nor NA and he will never change his opinion about Koreans being the only players that are capable of doing something.
He doesn't play in EU tournaments or NA tournaments because it seems like he doesn't think its "easy money" or not worth the effort. If everyone on SEA/NA is trash, why doesn't he play in NA tournaments? There are plenty. There are also PLENTY EU tournaments with a lot of money, but they are fucking stacked and it really doesn't matter how good he is on an EU tournament. The chances that you beat 1 good player if you are good - they are there. The chances you beat 2 or 3 in a row are also there. But the chances you lose to 1 of the 3-4 or more good players on EU you face in the tournament are way bigger.
I can't believe Sixjax management "SPOKE" with Major and didn't take any action (at least nothing they made public) and a few hours later he already posts how shit NA/SEA is.

MajOr is Princess lol, and he has been around for a while, and he does deserve to have a fan base because he really is so good. However, little stunts like this don't help his image, but are no reason for him to be not known by the community.

He has won a good amount of online tournaments and he also placed top 16 coming out of the open bracket from his first big sc2 event at MLG. He is definitely good.

Great. Why doesn't he continue with that than? Too easy? Then switch to EU tournaments.

Threads like this are what make me laugh at the popular opinion that TL.net is some super community where everyone is a "manner" genius. It's pathetic.
The fact that this total non-issue has spawned a thread 63 pages long really makes me sad. I simply cannot be convinced that this is even a tiny issue. What do people want? A public apology? Major to be removed from sixjax? This isn't a scandal, nothing even remotely egregious happened. It's a small time up-and-comer being an ass in an inconsequential tournament. I don't condone his actions, but Jesus, let things take their course. People have been made aware of the situation. Stop harping on it.

I can see why Major thinks he has no fans. Coz he does stupid shit like this =/ Feel sorry for him and whatever psychologic pattern that convinces him that cheating in a tournament in worth it.

Cheating is cheating no matter who it is. I'm even sure if it was someone with a bigger community involvement (Incontrol for example) it would be even bigger. Obv if it was a no name player it wouldn't get blown up on TL. But since major is a "professional" his actions need to be treated as such. Cheat in any other professional sport and get caught, theres never a "get of a jail free pass" (or just saying its not a big deal) I'm sorry but he didn't cheat. He smurfed, HUGE difference. to cheat is what I would say using a map hack or some sort of hack or stream watching while playing. That is a big deal, playing on a smurf like he did to the SEA community is not as big a deal as you seem to think. Yes it wasn't smart for him to do it, but its way far away from cheating which is very serious because as far as I know the people he beat was because he was better then him. Why he tried to smurf it was dumb but yeah again not cheating. People don't mean he cheated literally in starcraft 2 itself. He cheated the tournament and attempted to cheat the organizer out of his money. He broke the rules of the tournament (i.e cheating) not SC2 itself. For example, if someone looked at the replays after their game in GSL, that would be cheating, it's a rule of the tourney.
I would think that smurfing a tournament like this is a bit like ladder abuse mentioned here. Specifically, it's said that 'Ladder abuse is just as criminal as hacking. The end result is no different. An abuser is essentially stealing prize money from honest players and robbing the community of a worthwhile competition.'
Anyway, I was thinking of some consequences sixjax could implement for Major (i.e. most likely won't happen). I think it will be interesting if sixjax adds some sort of condition for him to stay on the team - maybe something like 'win MLG Anaheim or you will be kicked off the team.' Everyone knows that he is a pretty good player with some potential, but he also brings along all this baggage. In the end, the management will have to weigh his performance with his attitude/behaviour and decide on whether he is a good fit for their team.

I'm pretty sure anyone who does this and gets caught is flamed quite a bit, and tbh I don't hear about anyone really doing this. I think there was a thread about namhcir competing in clan wars for a friend, I doubt that was even for prize money and people were still raging at him. (I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure it was him)

Should we just ignore blatant cheating? Are you serious? And now don't come off as its not "cheating" because thats what it was. As Nazgul said before. He was told he may not play and smurfs his way into the tournament, taking away chances from other players.
