Destiny trying to take one for the team, then realizing that he had to do what was right for himself. From both sides' feedback you can tell its whats best for both parties. Maybe everyone else should shut up. The only people that should be allowed to post in this thread are destiny + col.members. Everyone else on TL can read it and just be "informed" instead of spewing shit everywhere.

I do think it's stupid how they wanted destiny even though they knew about his vulgar language. If any team does pick him up it will be a team who wants more publicity and wants to get more fans and their name more out there. So GL HF to who ever picks him up.

It says right in the OP. They just dropped the contract completely, so nobody is getting sued lol.

The SC2 scene needs more than just the cookie cutter personalities that we see so much. Variety is the spice of life and is only good for the scene imo. Keep being Destiny, Destiny!

For all of you attacking either party, I feel you are making a huge mistake. This isn't a situation where belittling a team or a person is going to change anything it is just stirring up the pot about something that should be acknowledged but then you move on from it so that both parties and get on with it. Calling Destiny and his fans names makes you stoop down to the same level you "believe" Destiny and his fan are at. Destiny is not a racist as he has said over and over again, it is about his beliefs with language. In my understanding he believes that the more you let words bring back painful or historically painful feelings then you are still affected by what happened and you are more than just affected by the word, but the root of the issue which is what happened. In that case you need to work on getting through what happened since is still has a strong strangle hold on you. As a black man im not a big fan of when people say and type "nigger" or whatever, but at the same time I just chalk it up to people being ignorant and move on, which I think his point is. Now if someone says it to my face with a serious connotation behind it then I will be offended. Either way it is a delicate topic which many people feel differently about. Honestly, you cannot bash someone for their opinion when it is not harmful to the population around, ie his beliefs about language. Good Luck coL and Destiny Edit: I do believe Destiny would be a good fit on VT with MrBitter to exchange ideas with and work on his mechanics, which are what fails him, and plenty of other good players to practice with. Spades, Future, Pokebunny would be good practice partners to help improve his style to a more legit style that isn't so easily hard countered when you see his name.

Sadly, given the number of logical fallacies I see on, literally, every thread, those seem to be a rather endangered species. wow that is so hardcore and wrong i dont know what to say. Seems like you implying all unplanned children should be aborted? and that the rational thing to do ? my relationship ended when my kid was 1, then we found out she was preggo again. Even though its not gunna get us back together I couldnt be more happy. I hope you eventually have kids and come to realize how sick your statement was.

Destiny himself said he signed the contract, knew what he was signing and then broke the contract which is and I quote Destiny "A Douche Move". This was not all about what he says or doesn't say on the stream. He did not want to be part of Complexity. We could have chosen to be dicks about it and hold him to the contract he signed and not let him play for anyone. He did not want to wear the tag, did not want to honor our sponsors and all of these things stem from him not wanting to be a part of a larger organization. We talked to him at length and at the end of the day I don't understand his reasons. We knew what we were getting when we signed him and really we were for the most part fine with who he is and what he does on his stream. Obviously we could not have racial comments etc but at the end of the day this was HIS decision and we allowed him to make his own choice and he CHOSE to leave. So even though the title of our release is we "released" him that simply means we allowed him out of his legally binding contract, which we certainly did not have to do. I don't think anyone is the bad guy here. This is not a decision that had animosity on either side. We don't want a player that does not want to be part of us and he did not want to be part of us. So end of the day, I am not sure how we could have handled this better. We wish Destiny nothing but the best. Here is an example: "Destiny and Complexity have discussed his participation on the team and we have mutually come to find we are incompatible. We wish him the best in future endeavours. GL HF everyone!" One "Douche move" does not always deserve another...

For the record, I love crass humor, huge Howard Stern fan, I just think Destiny comes across as a spoiled kid. He's rough to listen to if you aren't a kid yourself. But then again, there are so many bores in the SC2 community that he certainly has a place.

Spades is now on Team Reign, but i think VT would be his best bet but i know that Steven doesnt have the best reputation with VT, hopefully he finds a team that suits his needs because on ROOT he improved a lot and without a team all he can really do is grind ladder games and maybe practice with some of the old ROOT clan mates considering he got along with them pretty good.

Criticizing his stream and his attitude I am 99.9% sure that the OP doesn't say a thing about him being kicked by his team for his behavior or his choices he makes. He felt pressured into signing and then realized he wanted out. I think the biggest person at fault here is the team for blowing this out of proportion.

Of course col are going to try and word it so sounds like they wanted Destiny to leave because of violation of his contract, it's quite possible he did violate it, but what they don't want to say is "Destiny didn't like the contract so left" because that might put future players off from joining them, and may cause existing members to think about their own contracts. Im not saying that's what did happen only that it looks that way to me Either way i think it would be helpful to include all of Destinys comments made so far in this thread as well as those made my col members in the OP For anyone interested you can find all of Destinys replys by clicking "all"[/b] where you select a page and then doing ctrl + f and putting in: To achieve perfection is to sacrifice growth. Thats his quote and no one else has it in the thread ![]() Unfortunatly it's not as easy to find the col replys ![]() + Show Spoiler + Btw Destiny, if you read this, I love you <3 If i didn't have a girlfriend, and didn't live on the other side of the world, i would totally give you a high five and then play some 2v2 with you ![]() ![]()

They could sue for damages and or potential damages, but since Destiny is more of an upcoming progamer and not exactly a well established progamer such as MC, Idra, etc. damages would be minimal and probably not worth the cost of pushing the lawsuit in the first place. In any example including yours (tiger woods) it becomes a cost benefit analysis, which is why some would choose to drop the player or renegotiate. However, it is a binding contract and therefore if coL wanted to be dicks about it they could sue him and then on top of that make Destiny foot the bill for the lawsuit + damages if Destiny lost the suit. That’s why I think coL really did do the stand up thing here, because they could have made it miserable for Destiny, but it would have been equally miserable for coL as lawsuits are never fun no matter who the party is. I also think Destiny did the stand up thing as well in his own way by essentially (in so many words) saying “hey you know what, I screwed up.”

It was set up to fail, in such a way that CoL would get to remain the "good guys" in the story. Of course they knew steven bonnell, the man who literally lives off of his personality, was not going to change. Imagine if he did suddenly change, and he puts his stream at risk of losing popularity. People watch him because he's entertaining, if he doesn't have that, he doesn't have the same level of income any more. It was never going to happen, but this way they can blame steven in a bitchy post on their website ^^
