Hmm you could try copying the mpq and trying to rename the copy? That's weird that it won't let you do that. Worse comes to worse I'll rename it for you and upload, especially if others are having the same problem. But try copying it first. Make sure to drag it out to your desktop.
I'v just done it twice, and still it does not work... I'm extremely confused :S

Lol I can try the hydra thing. As for the sounds, Im using them, so bw sounds DO work. U just have to mpq editor. wait so are you telling me that the mod you included in your OP has ALL the bw sounds?! cuz I thought it was just for the menu sounds. No I don't include that since it is unrelated to my team color mod. But I'll write some instructions for you on how to make this change. Make sure you have the team color mod installed first since we will be using the same mpq. Just give me a bit to write it all.
im using all your mods anyways thanks a lot!

Soooo....
Download this http://www.mediafire.com/?cymwjuyd2jv <-these are the bw sounds that Zelniq put together. Much credit to him, he did a great job mixing the zealot blade sounds for example. Anyways once downloaded you will need an mpq editor. You can download that here http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html
Once you have these things, go into your Starcraft II/Mods/LibertyMulti
and Open up enUS.SC2Assets (Basically the mpq you downloaded for the team color mod.) Go into the Assets folder
Make sure before doing the instructions below, to unpack Zelniqs Manly Soundpack from the zip. Because draging files from inside a zip straight into a mpq might not work.
Once inside, drag in the files from Zelniqs BW sound pack. DRAG ONLY the Battle.net folder and the LocalizedData folder. You don't want to drag in the Assets folder because you are already IN the assets folder in the enUS.SC2Assets. So what you do is you go inside the Assets folder in Zelniqs pack and drag the Sound folder, located inside, into the mpq.
After that close the mpq editor and you should have bw sounds. Note, this should not replace anything, so if it asks you to replace things, then you probably opened the wrong mpq, probably the one in the Liberty folder, not LibertyMulti.
Ask if you need help at any point.

Can you make some more clearer instructions for me?
|
On June 28 2011 06:39 Swiftkpoon wrote: Can you make some more clearer instructions for me?
One thing you could do, is open the mpq with an mpq editor.
http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html
Then drag out all the files to your desktop, (it should just be an Assets folder and maybe 2 more files. Then with the mpq editor MAKE a new mpq, and name it with eu. Just press ok if it asks you anything while you make it. Then open it and drag the files you dragged out from the us one, into there.
If that doesn't work then let me know and I'll upload one, but that will take a bit.

where is the \LibertyMulti.SC2Mod folder got to be?

On June 28 2011 07:07 Swiftkpoon wrote: where is the \LibertyMulti.SC2Mod folder got to be?
LibertyMulti.SC2Mod should be inside the Mod folder which is inside the Starcraft II folder.
So programfiles/StarcraftII/Mods/LibertyMulti.SC2Mod

weird, i dont have one of those in my Starcraft II folder, perhaps thats the problem?

If you don't have one, just make the folders necessary yourself, then drag the mpq into that folder. Some of us already have the folders there, others don't, not sure why.
Make sure to name the folders correctly.
|
Ok, the folder can be placed anywhere in my Starcraft II folder though?
|
On June 28 2011 07:38 Swiftkpoon wrote: Ok, the folder can be placed anywhere in my Starcraft II folder though?
So, inside the Starcraft II folder make a folder named Mods
Inside the Mods folder make one named LibertyMulti.SC2Mod
Inside that folder is where you place the mpq.

Has anybody had any problems directed from blizzard over using this mod? It's so sexy but I'm scared of the wrath of the corporation taking action against mpq modification ~_~

Both Violet colors are making banelings very difficult to distinguish on creep (and even out of creep, very easy to confound with lings)

hey do you have the original enUS.SC2Assets file? for some reason I never had such a file and so I have always been using yours.

Why don't people email Blizzard asking for a stronger color option to be patched in officially to help color vision impaired players?
|
