That might be true, but it's better if I don't rely on my micro to not die at the start of the game lol..
...though I was thinking more of the bigger ramps, and team games too... alot of the time on some of the team maps you have to defend a massive ramp and walling off is a pain... with the reduced feild size it would probally force a weak point in the wall off...

Don't you need one mroe Chronoboost for the WG research too? Maybe won't matter much.

He's trying to say that all the scrubby whiners who cry over 2gate which is an ancient strategy from Protoss based on an ancient opening from Zerg is not significant at this moment. You can't hatch first against Protoss as Zerg, and if you can your opponent is either bad or you got lucky and dice rolled being scouted third on Tal'darim or Typhon.
You cannot reliably and consistently do hatch first against Protoss, which is why good Zergs like MorroW won't even bother.

I like the change but chrono boost doesn't remove the increased time :o chronoboosting it will make it finish faster ofc but it's still later than normally. Also that's one chrono that isn't going ton probes.

lol where's the logic there? you chose to be even/behind every game instead getting an slight edge sometimes? if you know how to respond to your blocked hatch you don't lose much more that if you do a gas/pool immediately

I would like to point out the changes in the price of ghosts:
TvP is a gas not-intensive match-up. Actually you spend gas just in medivacs, vikings and upgrades (and marauder for what matters). I don't even make the 5th and 6th refinery when I get a third base, indeed (it depends if I have to go ghosts heavy or not).
The change is not related just to the one base scenario. I think it is a little nerf (or maybe it just stays equal) at the ghost in the TvP. Contrariwise in the TvZ, that is more gas intensive (both medivas, tanks and upgrades), the ghost will be someway more viable to counter infestors and to snipe EE (everything else :p).

I do like the change as it makes a Ghost mix more viable (Ghosts ate every scrap of gas) but they are hardly free. 200 minerals is a lot, even for Terran.

I would like to see 2 gate make a comeback, I miss having Protoss do a 2-gate expand as an alternative to forge expand.

Strength of 4 gate isn't the number of units, its the fact that you can't scout it easily. If you are making a shit ton of units out of your regular gateways, the zerg pretty much knows what to expect ?
