Just simply terrible changes.
Blizzard isn't even listening. Incredibly massive nerf to HTs and mostly nerfs to infestors and no change to ghosts. Makes tons of sense really. No change to marines which are waaaaaaay too good. Mediocre bunker change.
Mothership nerf which nullifies its only current usage.
But hey at least terrans might have to actually research stim quicker for their pushes. I mean jeez, how terrible they have to start research on their very cheap very awesome ability quicker, like protoss and zerg do with their more modest unit upgrades.
Goddamn, goddamn.

Maybe some one can dig that convo up from miniguns stream videos..
That would make a whole lot of sense if we were actually playing the GSL maps.

because we already saw like zero (?) appearances of protoss and especially storm in the gtsl and gsl.
that every game contains atleast 1 terran isnt a problem though. nice attitude overall blizz.

yeah, blue flame doesn't do that, it just knocked out squirtle with 1 attack in the early

Hmm seems like they really want me to build colossus every match...
I thought when they nerfed HT they were gonna nerf MM to compensate but a slight slowing of stim doesn't seem to line up at all with completely removing amulet.
Also does anyone know what was actually so imba about flux vanes that they had to remove it from the game entirely?
I don't think I ever saw that used in a tournament.
I don't like this precedent of just deleting upgrades from the game completely as it really just seems to remove all variety from the game.
Protoss already has about 2/3 of the number of upgrades/options as terran, now the fleet beacon has 1 upgrade, the dark shrine has 0, the templar archives has 1... wtf
I guess at least they haven't just removed any toss units from the game completely yet.

Well jesus, a friggen Medivac drop with concussive shells can do the same thing, except you can save those units. I don't understand why Blizz looks at all these "op" things that Toss and Zerg have, that can be devastating, but when Terran has something that is relatively easy to pull off that is cost effective, it is hardly even glanced at. Wtf are they avoiding, they have been dodging the MMM ball since beta. Do they have major shit planned for the expansions or something?

The level of whining is absolutely STAGGERING. Has everyone come from WoW or what? I can't believe people are whining this much, even for things that are perfectly acceptable by most players these days (marauders).

Sorry, but the balance team needs to be fired and they need to hire actual former progamer that actually know whose good. For the most part they are asking lower level progamer on their opinion.
Removing upgrades from the game is just stupid -.-

Hmm. Fungal now does about 47 damage to armored in 4 seconds. It has a dps of 11.75 compared to the old dps of 4.5.
Its new dps is 2.6 times greater than before vs armored and 2 times greater vs everything else.
Seems like a few Infestors would not be as useful as before but a pack of Infestors would stronger than before.

Protoss gets hits the most since beta, zergs gets some small buffs here and there, but are still mostly terrible, and terran gets build time reduce nerfs?
Dayvie is a random player. We all know random players have shit for experience in late game scenarios. It's pretty obvious why Terran is being coddled (universally considered to have an early game advantage). What did they do about that? 30s more on stim research.

Because they're defacing the game in the worst way. They're making it a bland "strategy game" where they limit strategies. People like you are the worst. "Everyone is whining, that is bad." Why? Why is it bad? Do you not see what's going on here? I enjoy watching the game more than playing it tbh, but I really won't watch any games any more...infestors, fun as hell to watch a nasty fungal and banelings march in. The anticipation was awesome. Same goes for some good storms. Now it's just a bunch of balled up armies pulling some 1a shit and whoever has the better army wins.

What concerns me is that apparently there WERE progamers involved in this. Naniwa's leaked patch notes are too damn accurate to be guesswork, and more like an earlier iteration of what we actually see now.

just because the main race of Starcraft is meant to be Terran doesnt mean its the best.. people generally use it because its the default human race.. tho protoss had a very good % vs terran, so they made them weaker

@tarath: Flux vanes allowed Void Rays to run away from (or chase) Vikings. It also made VR backstabs really, really deadly. The threat of them basically pinned an opponent's entire army to their base, because VRs also have some of the highest DPS in the game when charged, so trying to just go kill your opponent will result in you losing a base trade.
@NUCREALFACILITY: It was established with a previous patch that massive amounts of whining will cause Blizzard to undo changes while the patch is still being tested on the PTR, or something like that.

What happened to the supposed corruptor buffs? Also is it just me or does it seem like the fungal change is more of a nerf than buff?
|
I think the mothership changes are heading in the opposite direction of where it should to be going. Being such an underused unit, there should be changes that would encourage its usage even more. Now what? A spell that is used to deter the enemy, possible splitting their army in half, now gives them invincibility for 1.5 seconds? Wouldn't you just want to use that spell on yourself? Being 1.5 seconds long, it would also only be useful near a point of battle and if they see you using it, they'll just run in themselves. This is just being counter productive. Vortex should just do damage over time to any unit inside it. It should be a spell where you look at it and say "Oh crap run!", not "WHEEEEEEEEEE!"

Has anyone ACTUALLY played with this changes yet? Or is this thread just about mindless QQing?
I remember last major patch, when pheonix build time was decreased, it was supposed to break PvZ. Has it? No.
I for one will reserve judgment until I play the patch.

What the fuck? Maybe if you're talking about the Bronze league. Do you really thinking Pros choose their race based on the campaign mode or because they are also human?
Also, the win percentages leaked for the top 10% of Masters in Europe revealed that Protoss actually has the worst win percentage out of the three races.

Hmm, did this actually happen in any GSL games or anything? From a pure theory standpoint that makes sense, I've just never seen it used at the pro level.
