False...there have been numerous pros to comment in this thread saying that it should not be put through in the way that it currently is on test.
Kiwikaki has said there's no way in hell it will go through. I don't see where people have got this "universally agreed upon by top players that it's OP" idea.

Yeah I'd really like to know where you're getting your "universally agreed" information from. My observation is based on the 90% of players on the forums who are in disagreement. This isn't high-level response by any means, though I would love to see a poll of pros only.
Day9 posted on his twitter: omg plz let me keep my khaydarin amulet. PLZPLZPLZPLZPLZ???? >.< I mean if day9 puts that many Plz's in a post I think their might be something wrong

From the posts from actual pros I've seen here on TL, Catz's podcast discussing the new maps/patch with several other players, and the last SotG with iNc, Tyler, and Painuser, it seems like the general pro consensus is that a nerf is reasonable but removing the amulet altogether is not. I personally favor a BW style amulet upgrade that gives +12.5 starting energy and +50 max energy, but somewhere between +12.5 and +20 initial energy is generally agreed upon as a nice range.
Charging Zealots getting an extra hit is pretty cool, but it doesn't really assist with the pre-Charge kiting of them.
The Archon Toilet nerf is justified, but I think it makes the Mothership too much of a niche thing (As if it wasn't a niche thing already), then 1.5 seconds of immunity could be game breaking. Most players will throw the rest of their units into the vortex to avoid fighting potentially a maxed army with their remaining units. I think they could've handled that better. The Mothership itself was always a bad idea as soon as they didn't implement the Planet Cracker from that initial video.
Most of the other things I don't agree with, but I will have to see how things play out.
Bunker salvage needs to be nerfed, I could care less about build time, but even if it only gave back 90% it would still be worth it to drop Bunkers down.

No its not, Everyone thinks a nerf is justified (because it is) but i havent heard of a single pro player who thinks a complete removal is a good idea (because its NOT)

In which case Blizzard's work is done.
See, I get the feeling that Blizzard puts one red herring change into every PTR, just so that the community spends its time complaining about that and not complaining about the other things. Then when they take it out, they can say, "See? We're listening to the fans!"

Never attribute to malice what can equally be explained by incompetence.

And what do they gain? A warm fuzzy feeling in the bottom of their hearts? Please. Skip the conspiracy theories. "Listening to the community" is not a hard thing. Everyone and his mother seems to think that their opinion means something. Figuring out which parts of the community reaction are worth listening to is the hard part, and I think Blizzard has proved that it's not too good at that.
Hey for those of you who haven't seen, or noticed.
Remember how we complained when we saw the new Masters Icon in Patch 1.2? How we were wondering, wtf why does it looks shitty compared to what they showed at Blizzcon?
Well, what I guessed back then was right; the higher you are in your icon, the more stuff there is
This applies to ALL icons. This is also why some of the icons looked quite uglier in 1.2 too. For Icons below Masters, they too have more stuff on them the higher rank you are. They look cooler now; the reason why they looked stubby in 1.2 is probably to make it so that the higher icons looked more artistically "balanced".

Early game T is going to change alot. All previous stim timings are down the drain..
Well i always felt Stim to be a crutch. You can still put tones of pressure just with Conc. But i still don;t get the nerf, Stim pushes are really easy to hold.

This is mostly true. But if it weren't for the times Blizzard went through with a completely stupid balance idea, I wouldn't be worried.
Protoss only has one strong tech tree mid-late game without amulet. Collosus are probably still the best tech choice in all match ups even when templar have amulet. Toss air tech still sucks and there's almost no reason to get a fleet beacon unless it's super late game PvT or you're doing a mothership gimmick build (ironically also gone in 1.3).

Top 8 is generally the cutoff for prizes in a lot of tournaments. It would be complete wild speculation to say that Blizzard's adding some kind of ladder tournament system, but it's a possibility. More likely they went with it because "Top 8" in some competitions it's normally the important figure.
I say just ditch vortex all together. Instead give the mothership the ability to charge shields of other units with its energy (maybe more energy total too), give it an enormous guardian shield (2x the radius of sentry guardian shield), let it act as a nexus to mine minerals/gas (like an emergency nexus if one gets sniped). Would be really useful to have around late game with such abilities, would definitely make up for the loss of amulet and the vortex nerf for toss late game. Might even make the fleet beacon tech path useful since they got rid of void speed, and carriers get rofl stomped by hydra/corrupter or marine/viking (which are exactly what T and Z already make vs toss in standard games)

i wouldn't say complete wild speculation, since they said they had plans to do it during beta.
I've always thought the Mothership should be having effect on Real Protoss things; Shield recharge and warping in; Double recharge of shields and half of the warp in time underneath the Mothership seems quite cool. It's the mothership after all!?
