1) Build worker, split workers 2) Send workers, build peon, split workers. 3) Split workers, build worker This has just popped into my mind after seeing the 2003 thread where Jinro posted option #2 as the one he did in BW.

It has been tested and splitting in SC2 doesn't grant an advantage over letting the computer split them. It isn't a bad idea if you do it, but don't expect a mineral gain from it. Building the worker first or sending miners first has been tested as well and show no advantage either way. The result is that as long as you do one of these you are basically optimized since none of the methods have an advantage. I personally send workers and then build a probe. http://starcraft2-wingsofliberty.featuremethis.com/ The site is still in development with a friend of mine but the aim is to have people vote on features they would like to see in the game. The highest ranked ones will appear at the top and game designers can get a proper feel on what the community wants in the next patch / expansion.

Nope you can use the same account which still has Starcraft on it. If you threw away the CD you can torrent it, it will be a trillion times faster than regular download.

The ZvP matchup currently (often not always) ends up with a large fight with the Protoss having sentries for forcefields, colossus, and stalkers (sometimes zealots as well). The Zerg in response to this builds up a large roach force sometimes including hydras left over from dealing with immortals, and sometimes Speedlings, as well as a fleet of corrupters whose role is to simply take out the colossus. The Zerg's goal is to take out all of the colossus and to rebuild their army to overwhelm the Protoss soon afterwards. I think however that the mix between forcefields and colossus might be too threatening, so I want to propose a new idea. The infester does not see too much usage in the ZvP matchup, and its second ability Neural Parasite sees little action in any matchup. So I propose they change this ability. The new ability would be to throw a unit or a group of units into an area (similar to Tiny's throw ability from Dota). Why would this be useful? The Zerg could throw a few banelings into the Protoss death-ball softening it up substantially, or throw units that are unable to fight due to forcefields into the fight. I realize that changing a unit affects many match ups, but I think that as Terran are getting better at splitting and spreading marines this would be less of an issue in this matchup than people might think. Especially if there is a short period of time when the unit is in the air before it lands (1second?). A final few thoughts I had were on ways to balance it if it is too strong. The infester sticks its claw(?) that it used for neural parasite into the ground and flings the burrowed unit/s into target area. So this change would require burrow and the new ability to be upgraded and the unit/s to be burrowed. Also the range of how far the can be thrown could be adjusted. This is just a fun idea that I know will not happen, but I thought that it isn't as situational as neural parasite and could have application in all three Match ups, from dealing with death-balls and forcefields to harassing to crossing terrain. Thanks for your time and feedback. (remember this is mostly just for fun I don't expect this change to happen, nor do I think that it needs to happen in order for a match up to be balanced)

The imbalance show thread seems to be getting a lot of hate, i suppose that is to be expected since it is a very touchy topic.
