..I guess the most significant effect of this phoenix change is that you can get a decent amount of them faster with only 1 stargate? Nice!
Also the hallucination/observer changes are nice.
And about fungal growth: have fun, that's what it feels like when playing vs mutalisks. They can just swoop in and out as much as they like and my troops run back and forth between bases desperately trying to defend. Yes, I'm talking about blink stalkers.
Have fun.

Oh god. What does that even mean? If a marine shoots my idle probe, it won't automatically run like 2 steps away and then stop again? If the probe isn't idle, it didn't "avoid" anything. It just carried out its orders.
I assume it means that workers can't mineral walk through enemy units anymore, I could be wrong though. Seems like a good change, it was really annoying that a worker could mineral walk through a Protoss wall because they can pass through Zealots.

Zerg macro is left untouched, what a joke. No I don't want to beat Zerg with a stargate harass into mass gates all-in, I want to stop drastically falling behind each time I play a macro game against Zerg.

I don't think people realize the biggest thing the FG change will effect is in fact ZvZ. Fungal Growth is a must to stop Mutas. If this is implemented then ZvZ will just turn into Muta vs Muta (with maybe corruptors) because Hydras are so damn slow.

No, the changes are in, blizzard are just making sure the patch won't break anything before they release it en mase.

Its about time we got a buff! A lot of the balance changes make sense. Fungal Growth on Air Units was ridiculous and Void Ray output damage was lacking for a mid/late game unit.
-.-!

Uhh.. Why did they remove mineral walking ? That's so dumb... Also, I don't understand the Flux Vanes removal. I used that in the late game as a harassment option. Sure, phoenix buff is nice, but not even necessary. Can't force expansion cancels with phoenixes. Damn, Blizzard.. Making the game sillier all the time.
Also, why the fungal growth change ? That impacts ZvZ soooo much, and also ZvT as well. I don't understand.

It means that workers can't go through enemy units by clicking a mineral patch. Which is great for P wall offs which usually leave a spot open for a zealot to block. That was possible before this patch, it isn't after. (P buff)

• Added combat reveal tinting to help show that combat reveal units cannot be hit. All diagonal ramps are now the same with regards to unbuildable locations at the bottom of the ramps.
Possibly The end of Pylon/Bunker ramp cheese. Nice to see

thank fuck for the scv priority + phoenix + creep changes.

Other than obvious nice things like chat channels, I'm really not fond of the balancing. I don't get why they changed the void ray either, how was the speed upgrade in need of removal? Bunker build time again, why?
No, I don't get it.
what? how is it 100% impossible to kill them? they are JUST like mutas in how easy they are to kill.
u realize that to use gravitron whatever-the-fuck the protoss has to stop moving the phoenix right?

Do any of you have this test patch yet?

• A new Master League has been added.
Have to be a nerd here, but just to make a guess. I think this might happen when they reset the ladders, and this would be the comparison of winning gladiator. Since I figure if it was always a top% it would get hard to continue promoting demoting people from this hourly.

When workers are mining, they have the lowest attack priority in the game (besides maybe buildings). Meaning, say if a zerg runs 20 zerglings into your minerals. If you have a unit there, like a marauder, every zergling till focus on that marauder and ignore workers.
However, if you a-move with your workers, they became the same priority as any attack unit. Sometimes it's BETTER to just let your workers keep mining to avoid the AI targeting them.

It'll be awesome for those times when you need to build an extra bunkr to stop some kind of 1 b ase push. (die roach rush >:|)

hahhahahahaha zvz is going to be hilarious now.

Phoenixes are much faster than mutas, and Protoss has the option of using Phoenix to outrun the mutas, stalkers to blink after them, or storm for tons of AoE damage. Now Zerg has...the slower Hydras, the slower Queens, and the slower Corrupters/mutas.

"Oh no fungal growth can't hit air anymore, games so broken now" said millions of zerg when they read the patch notes.
-_- looks like the zerg tears are flowing again.

You could just learn how to macro better with protoss you know like most other top toss players.
