Of course, phoenix won't be a unit that's be all end all, but there's literally no good way of stopping phoenixes mid-late game now. I don't like the idea of unstoppable harass, meh. If only spores weren't ballsack retarded. | ||

I'm going to have to assume the fungal thing is something they've not gotten around to taking out of the patch. I mean.. why the heck would you make that change, zerg doesn't have to counter specifically enough yet for them or what? Rest of it seems fairly reasonable, though I weep for the poor confused ultra and they seem to have mistakenly decreased some times for Protoss. I'm sure they'll fix that as well though? It's a patch after all! Edit: Oh I just noticed the larva thing. I'd better stock up on Red Bull or something.. sigh.. | ||

but i do have one big problem. removing fungal on air? that's so insanely stupid. the ability to fungal air units is what keeps zvz from being the horrible muta/ling fest that it was in brood war. now it's going right back to that. and what about using fungal growth to stop drops? argh, this is terrible. but what i like is that this is a test region. if any of these balance changes get overwhelmingly negative feedback, the don't have to be implemented in the game, and can save players from losing a lot of points that the don't deserve to. also, i'm surprised they haven't changed colossi being able to walk down into restricted terrain if the area around the robo facility is walled off. i suppose they figured that it's just such a stupid strategy that it will never actually be used in a real game. oh, and one more thing... "Harvesting units no longer avoid enemy units". does this mean you can't mineral walk to safety if the opponent surrounds your scout with his workers? that's a shame. i thought mineral walking was really cool. | ||

ZvP- Can't hold phoenixes for mutas to catch up. ZvT- Dropship harasses much harder to stop with Infestors, Can't uncloak / hold Banshees either =( ZvZ- Probably the biggest change Roach, Hydra, Infestor wont hard counter mutas any more =( I would be fine with this change if zerg had other options for countering air / drops guess we'll have to see how this plays out and hope for the best. | ||
