Doesn't only affect cheese, there's really no reason not to hatch before pool in ZvT now. There's no risk of fast reapers, which essentially was the reason an FE could be suicide. Think of it this way; Instead of doing a regular thorship, you research the upgrade while your 2nd thor is building. Timed drop attack in the main base or close it with the 2 thors -> Shablam hatchery/lair/nexus gone in 6-7 seconds. (2x250mm + 2 or 3 normal attacks). It's faster and even more safe than with marauders considering the HP of the thors :O | ||

And as a toss player, I am a bit frustrated that void rays got nerfed so hard, but I'm sure it'll all be okay in the end. Looking over the notes, I don't think any builds I use (including the ones with void rays) will really be changed too much. I will never go in with one void ray, and will always wait for at least 2, but that's not a huge change all in all. I like the patch, and I hope that the players in the MLG get enough time to practice before the tourney. Especially players like IdrA that have to fly for half a day just to get there; if he left for DC today or late yesterday he may have missed a lot of valuable practice time. Not that he needs it. He can just do his normal stuff, only it will be better. I hope Tyler and Incontrol get enough practice time, and aren't too demoralized by the changes. Really want to see one of you guys take the MLG DC. | ||

A thor up there with 250mm cannon and an SCV to repair will be ridiculous. | ||
