You must kill those units woth other units, not with one ability. There are no ingame ability, that can fully kill units. Snipershot have reloading and mana and there no 100500 dmg

The void ray and reaper changes are mainly focused to balance 2v2 where those 2 units were considered imbalanced.

Only if they would cheese themselves, because otherwise its the world's most normal thing to build the rax after the depot. (And IF they cheese aswell then they have reapers or marauders which are fine against zealots). The supply requirement ONLY affects cheese but does nothing to normal/non-cheesy builds.

Doesn't only affect cheese, there's really no reason not to hatch before pool in ZvT now. There's no risk of fast reapers, which essentially was the reason an FE could be suicide. I don't mind, I love FEing but for the game as a whole the change is stupid.

Yay for roach range of 4. My zvz will be greatly helped because of this. Also, I think this affects ZvT greatly. I dont' think 4 range was needed but rather 1 or 1.5 food but I'll take it!

Psy did a patch note video, essentially shows off the changes. Confirmed that you can't kite roaches with hellions, it's literally impossible.

The Thor cannon boost is actually a HUUUUUGE horror for non-terran players if you think about it.

Think of it this way; Instead of doing a regular thorship, you research the upgrade while your 2nd thor is building.

Timed drop attack in the main base or close it with the 2 thors -> Shablam hatchery/lair/nexus gone in 6-7 seconds. (2x250mm + 2 or 3 normal attacks).

It's faster and even more safe than with marauders considering the HP of the thors :O

MLG DC isn't a huge tournament. MLG is a series of events that lead to one huge event. I doubt they'd patch a day before the MLG Grand Finals. If they waited for tournaments to patch then... we'd never get patches.

Yeah. Now see the other Tournament, the GSL Open 2. They did the patch a few days before it begins. It's nice that the patch comes so fast, and this is the only good window they had, other than waiting again a month I think.

I really like the roach buff, and I really like the medivac speed nerf combined with nexus/hatch hp increases.

And as a toss player, I am a bit frustrated that void rays got nerfed so hard, but I'm sure it'll all be okay in the end. Looking over the notes, I don't think any builds I use (including the ones with void rays) will really be changed too much. I will never go in with one void ray, and will always wait for at least 2, but that's not a huge change all in all.

I like the patch, and I hope that the players in the MLG get enough time to practice before the tourney. Especially players like IdrA that have to fly for half a day just to get there; if he left for DC today or late yesterday he may have missed a lot of valuable practice time.

Not that he needs it. He can just do his normal stuff, only it will be better. I hope Tyler and Incontrol get enough practice time, and aren't too demoralized by the changes. Really want to see one of you guys take the MLG DC.

Actually.. I think it's time for me to veto Lost Temple. A thor up there with 250mm cannon and an SCV to repair will be ridiculous.

so...who is going to bother with reapers at all? Obviously they needed some buff but if reapers require a factor why would I ever even build them? Ever?

I don't really understand what the point of giving nitro packs a factory requirement is unless they are trying to prevent mass reaper by forcing terran to build a factory. It really just makes reaper upgrade cost 200/150 + extra build time. I think it was fine when they added the build time to the reapers. The supply depot requirement would have also helped with early harassment. The rest of the changes seem geared towards making more diversified unit builds, which I approve of.

So your telling me prepatch you stopped proxy gates by going rax before supply always before scouting?

The supply before rax requirement may change how Terrans can proxy themselves, but it shouldn't affect how terrans deal with cheese. 99% of the time Terrans go supply before rax anyhow.

Or do you wait until you scout your opponent and then build your first building? lol

Make nitro packs after building engineering bay, it's more logic, because nitro packs are more like engineering stuff
