Love being in Europe ;D US may get the patch faster but they also get the crashes while we get the patch bug free :D

Any word on repairing SCV's priority? Not being able to feedback thors and bring them to ~50% to get ahead of the mass repairing kinda sucks.

I don't understand how silver level kids can complain on bnet forums and get changes they want.. I'm a protoss user and they nerfed vray's to shit, same thing with reapers, and who cares if terrans can get rax before supply depot, l2 scout. Then they say "Just because you're in diamond doesn't mean your opinion is worth more than mine just because I'm in gold" uhh rofl?

nope. the game is in this state for quite a long time. the last patch changed almost nothing at all and the biggest change was a unintended one with the ultra nerf"fix".


a patch like that was totally needed. i dont say i agree with evrything (depot -> rax) but overall its a step in the right direction. also fungal vs blinkstalker was more then needed.

Void Rays are still a lot better than most posters seem to be giving them credit for - they're uncharged buff v armor is huge. You know how quickly charged voids could decimate non armored units? That's how fast UNCHARGED void rays now destroy armored units. Honestly, this change makes them more usable overall (imo), because you don't *have* to charge ahead of time for them to be useful, so you can have void rays as a dps unit for your main army rather than just a rush/harass/all in unit. They're now more viable as an alternative to immortals for a counter to marauders, and terran metal, as well as roaches, ultras and corruptor/broodlord.

No. The races where designed like that. Such a fondamental change is just bad, I feel sorry for you and your post that shows such starcraft ignorance.

BBS was too strong because of orbital. The race got re-designed, such is life.

The supply change is not really a nerf, it's a cut in creativity to fix a 4vs4 problem.

Cut in options = nerf. And you have a go at my knowledge?

That's sad people just make those 'lololol good a terran nerf good for them hehehe' post and don't see past their hapiness to see a race they don't play being nerfed.

I'm not going "lolol terran nerf", I just think BBS was too strong for what should be an allin cheese play, because of the early orbital letting you catch up to a large degree.

Well, I guess Blizzard is just trying to make people be more diverse and down the cheese. It's going to be interesting to see how Thors will play out vs protoss.

Yeah there hasn't been 3 charges on void rays since beta. They're either charged, or not.

I haven't decided what I think about the VR changes yet. On the one hand, yeah, they're a lot weaker against armored/buildings when fully charged now. However, they're much stronger when not charged. IIRC (hard to check now) you didn't get the +armored bonus until they were fully charged before, so you'd jump from doing 5 damage to 25. Now you jump from 10 to 16. Will make hit and run tactics a little stronger, allowing you to actually utilize their mobility.

That's probably why they nerfed the speed upgrade as well, it'd be ridiculous with how much uncharged damage they can do now.

Blizzard is really cutting back on the number of things that feel not only overpowered but un-counterable. I like it. Now we just need Banshee damage reduced to require three hits for a worker kill

Desperately trying to figure out stealth patch changes. Will edit this post with theories and findings.

1) Void Ray acceleration, unupgraded, seems much faster. Animation is updated to reflect the fact there are only two levels of charge? Or I'm just on my laptop and it doesnt look the same

Most likely just stuff I didn't notice/in my head, perhaps influenced by using a laptop rather than the desktop im used to: Warp-in radius surrounding Warp Prisms seems larger.

Thors are good versus all toss units except...immortals wreck thors. And toss always have a robo, so its pretty risky to invest so much in thors. Maybe mid to late game...toss gets storm, and terran shifts to MMM -ghost-- thor to combat it (and the ghosts help with any immortal counter).

I wonder if a marine-ghost-thor build might work...hmmm.
