More seriously, how can you even think that? You barely notice crap dying in sc2, the one interesting animation is zerg units burning but thats not even in the korean version. If hydras/lings died you saw massing of blood+awesome sounds. Zealots had aweomse sound+visual effect. dragoon death sound was so great. It was this whiny high pitched sound that make you think: "YEAH FUCK YOU BITCH!" Mech death animations in BW were the worst and ALL the sc2 animations are like that. Quiet, small amount of "rubble" and overall boring. Oh banelings have an awesome animation when roasting marines. Thats so awesome. + A cool sound. Sound effects are so important.

put the blue goo in the mothership to make it that much more epic when someone has it in a game, can u imagine the blue waterfall that would occor upon death.

plus with the new graphx engine they could maybe make the blue goo shower the units underneath the mothership that were cloaked before, ah i can see it now the glorious explosion followed by stalkers going WTF BRO this shit sticks.

Blue goo is nice, but people who seriously suggest that BW had better death animations than SC2 must either be delusional or play SC2 on medium or low settings where they don't even get to see them.

I don't care about the quality/design of the animation itself. All I know is when I stim mnm and kill a bunch of hydras/lurkers theres lots of hydra/lurker death sounds and lots of blood and corpses. If I stim MM and kill some roaches and hydras there's a few roach limbs and almost no sound at all.
It's all about how fun it is to "kill shit". I play on high as well. Colossus death animation is kinda neat I guess, but not not a big enough sound like when the reaver died.

In BW everything had some meat to it. It all felt much more tangible than SC2. I wish they somehow manage to bring back some of that "meatiness". The most straightforward and feasible way to achieve this is through editing sounds imho. What this game needs is BW like sounds with a much higher sampling rate.

The death animations are very calm, quite and realistic. This takes away some of the good ol´ BW feeling, i guess Blizz wanted to put a clear distance to BW and to WC3, which had a very comic-style graphic aswell.

But the sounds on death could have been really better...
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity.

I miss the blue soup reaming after the goons run into siege line/mines... My ID nas no longer any meaning in SC2 ... Please, please, Blizzard, bring it back!

I think we need to figure out a list for these important balance issues in Starcraft 2.

ITEM A: Protoss needs Blue Goo back.

ITEM B: Terran needs a music nerf.

ITEM C: Zerg needs Hydraroaches.

These three simple edits will truly balance the game.
