To be honest, I think there's a good chance both Zergs will go out in the round of 16. They're both playing strong Terrans (TOP beat Cool a few weeks ago in the same tournament Check lost to Hypredub) and with only 2 map vetos each and at least 4 horrendously bad maps for ZvT they'll most likely be playing something like Delta Quadrant, LT or Steppes to stay in the competition, which no Zerg wants.

I'd make him the underdog against at least half the people left in the tournament, including his next opponent, Rainbow. Except that terran was nerfed and zerg was buffed in the last patch so it is a bit different now.

The difference between ALL THESE players are not that big. They are all formidable players, INCLUDING the ones that were knocked out (namely idra and TLO)

People aren't giving credit to his opponents - in tester's first match on scrap station the terran played SO abusively. He was literally being ridiculous with the use of drops/viking range in the big airspace in the middle of the map. Just because he lost dropships and made mistakes doesn't mean he wasn't playing excellently. And I haven't seen the ro32 series properly, but again, his opponent wasn't exactly giving him an easy ride from what I can tell. An earlier point about the similarity in skill level of all these players is really quite important. 2 months of any sport is not a long time to separate the wheat from the chaff, especially when this game is all about WINNING. Think about the amount of cheese that we've seen in the tournament. Not that I have anything against cheese. Except terran cheese ![]()

![]() Personally I like PvZ (lazorz and claws) so much to watch, but I think both TvZ and TvP have slightly more to-ing and fro-ing, which makes it quite intense. And the mirror matchups aren't that bad either, TvT is probably the most interesting at the moment imo, since there's so much interesting stuff each side can do. <3

I merely pointed out that maka, top or ensnare wouldn't have made these mistakes and then tester would've been screwed; his protoss-opponent in ro32 wasn't a bad player either, but then again we are talking about tournament-favorites? don't get me wrong, I'm protoss and a big tester fan, but if he has problems against opponents that are considered to be worse, then I don't see him defeating all the other players; I don't say that he doesn't have the skill to beat "each" one of them; I say that I think it's unlikely that he defeats ALL of them; I certainly believe that he will beat hyperdub; it will get very hard against rainbow (who will defeat check I believe); after that he would've go through ensnare or clide, both will beat their protoss-opponents I'm sure; after that I'd bet my money on a final against maka, top or cool; also three very tough opponents...I'm guessing it will be top; so theoretically tester could have to beat 1.) hyperdub 2.) rainbow 3.) ensnare/clide 4.) maka/top/cool again, he has the potential to beat any of these players....but winning against all of them, I have my doubts; but we'll see, I'll be cheering for him for sure
