I.e. even late game if you did it with all your mules and got an extra trip out of them because of it, it would be a significant advantage to terran that other races wouldnt have. This gives you as much of an advantage in muling as sending it to a close patch rather than a far patch. Given that you have to spend 20 actions (shiftclick, hit c) for essentially half a marine's worth of minerals, I doubt pros will devote time to this in the lategame over microing their units.

Despite how awesome I feel like this technique is (I mean c'mon, who is it going to hurt? No one. Who is it going to help? Only the BEST of the BEST of the BEST players, who need something useful to do at the beginning of the game anyway!) I have to concede that this is clearly a bug. Workers should be doing these actions as efficiently as possible anyway, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Blizzard fixed this ![]()

Might not be as efficient but it would be a lot easier than queuing up commands for each individual SCV. You can actually just keep C pressed. No need to spam, and you can do that even later in the game.

Except it does not work, as just spamming C command will make them stay at the command center and you gonna lose mining time anyway. I missed not having these little tricks in SC2, so I obviously like it and I'm going to execute it, even tho it's pretty insignificant since it only affects the early game by 1 or 2 seconds (3 if you are VERY good at it, what is still meaningless).

(im assuming this is because the way it works is that by the time Return Cargo becomes 'available,' it's already too late/slow. you need to send it the command before it has minerals in its hands)

Their devs probably read TL more than their actual forums.
