Beacon and upgrade will be expensive, but you'll not spend too much on phoenix themself. Yes. There shouldn't be thousands and thousands of games on a map to check balance, that is way to many games. The map pool should rotate more like in BW and if a map is just way to broken or is showing bad games then just scrap it. Isn't Destination the most played BW map in competitive games and it has only like 3000 games? Compare that to most map in the current map pool in any tournament.

All these noobs crying about how Penix are too strong vs mutas now don't realize the investment it will take to get there. Incontrol i've seen you use your double Stargate chronoboosted Penix build against mutas, to a little success. While you didn't play against the best players it's an alright counter to mutas, but not that great. Imagine tossing in a Fleetbeacon and Penix upgrade now. Good luck affording that, and I see you stay on 2 base pumping Penix with a pretty late 3rd. No way you're gonna afford FB and upgrade on top of 2 stargates. +1 for TT1 here. edit: oh yea, zerg can just split his mutas against your little 6 pack of Penix with expensive ass upgrade. Good bye 2 base econ against 4 base zerg. As catz said, this upgrade is just irrelevant, doesn't help protoss or hurt zerg. It's just a weird addition to the game. Seriously FBeacon @ 2base?

I thought it was a major part of the discussion here in TL that the alternative is better management on Vikings, splitting them, baby-sitting more, etc. Or to compensate more with multi-tasking based play (triple dropped mentioned this SOTG). There could be another, non-APM intensive way proposed, but I haven't heard it yet. Also, please don't quote and delete half a post... That's what square bracket "b" is for.

I've seen him go Double-Stargate Penix, it's alright, not as great as usual Blink Stalker Templar.

So you mean its an indirect impact of the nerf: by making TvZ harder, Terrans will have to compensate for Ghosts becoming worse with other ways to win? As to the second part, I was so tempted to quote that on its own. I could understand not wanting people to quote only part of it if the context changed the meaning of that quote, but in this case it didn't - why not quote it without the rest of the post?

Just because it's not necessary, I don't see how it hurts to have more stats? Also across a wider range of audiences for anyone who cares about lower level balance on these maps, not that lower leagues should affect patches.

It's not something starcraft put on his frontpage like the official starcraft 2 talkshow. It's just JP and a bunch of player/caster talking about stuff. We don't need it to be professional imo. :d

MCs forgiven because he might not know any better (or knows he can get away with it). Besides, he's not MC.

As to quoting without the rest, I think it's just a bad principle. Mistakes will happen, and misunderstandings are way too common around here, or most anywhere. And the bracket "b" will have the same effect without the risk.
