Because they don't care.

So they all can't read plain english...

Yeah so silly of Terrans not to use Ravens, every other race used every tool they had from the start, just look at how long Warp Prism has been used effectively!

Do you think it's reasonable that you have to get Tech Labbed Starports, Energy Upgrade, HSM Upgrade and then still wait for even more energy to even USE the ability? It's really not strange that Terrans resent Ravens in their current state.

Compare that to getting psi-storm Templars, or Motherships. Both of those are used regularly mid-lategame.

I'd sure as hell get psi-storm, ravens need two upgrades and they don't come out ready to do anything, comparing them to templars is simply put risible.

Just be glad that your Ravens actually have an Energy Upgrade.

Why the jab at QXC? He is extremely good, especially considering he hasn't really been devoting himself full time to SC like most players have.

Totally agree with Incontrol, quit implementing abilities and units that appease to noobs. Harsh as it is, that's how the game has to be, just like balancing for the very top tier of players. It's fair. Honestly wouldn't care how badly I struggled in MU's, as long as it balanced for the tip-top I know I have something to work toward instead of bunch of whiners getting freebies from blizzard.

Geoff seems to be off, Blizzard isn't appeasing noobs at all. They are quite vocal that they aren't balancing for Bronze. To make such a claim, one needs more data to actually show that Blizzard is doing this, rather than just accusing them of doing this. Remember, the Tempest isn't yet in the game, nor is the shredder. And the ghost Nerf makes ZvT much more APM intensive than it already was no matter how it goes. Removing the amulet was similar, one needs to take a lot more care of HT now. So I think Incontrol talked before thinking it through this time, but on a topic where a lot of people are going to subjectively agree because it helps confirm their own bias. This also does not prejudice whether Blizzard is doing so or not, but there was no evidence presented currently that this is the case.

rofl incontrol on the cpm thing, fuckin hilarious

that being said his analysis on the phoenix buff was pretty shitty tho, catz was actually right, ur not supposed to look at it from a unit vs unit perspective when it comes to the phoenix buff because the main goal of mutas is to gain map control while holding the p on 2bases, the range upg is too heavy of an investment off of 2bases because by the time u get it z would be sitting on 4 bases while p would be sitting on 2bases with no tech and zerg could just tech switch out of mutas whenever they want, the protoss would then be in a situation where he has a shitload of phoenixs + gate units vs a 3-4base z who tech switched into something that would roll that type of composition(like roach hydra or w/e)

thats y i think the range upg should be on the cyber core instead, protoss needs a hard counter to mutas like we did in sc1(corsairs) because a GOOD zerg knows how to exploit mutas to the maximum
ab = tl(i) + tl(pc), the grand answer to every tl.net debate

If not even progamers know the numbers involved in starcraft(as seen by this STOG and taking from TT1's posts) , don't expect a random dude to know it, math is too hard, basically their points about using ravens had no basis, qxc simply said "well, I've never used them", and them this served to settle the topic, nothing about waiting FOREVER for hsm to be ready,, or the fact that the zerg has to be dancing tango for the ravens to get close enough to use them.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

Wait, what? The only direct change is make Zerg more likely to win with BL/Infestor. Why does making Ghosts weaker make the game more APM intensive?

With 6 range you dont have to commit too much on phoenix to control them (mutas). Beacon and upgrade will be expensive, but you'll not spend too much on phoenix themself.
